She had a sister named Dousabel after their mother - what a great name! :
Dousabel Lott
in the England & Wales, Non-Conformist and Non-Parochial Registers, 1567-1970 Name: Dousabel Lott Gender: Female Event Type: Baptism Father: Wm Lott Mother: Dousabel Lott Baptism Date: 18 Mar 1754 Baptism Place: Tenterden, Kent, England Denomination: Presbyterian Piece Title: Piece 1987: Tenterden (Presbyterian), 1736-1837
Dousabel jr's Will (I'm not going to decipher the image and type it out!) She also died unmarried. There is mention of people named Blackmore, so obviously the right family.

Looking through an old wooden box my other half possesses we found a label glued in the bottom... It reads; "The price of it was £4 !!!! This cedar box was bought on 23rd June 1813, of Miss Lott, a fancy workshop in Great Russell St. Bloomsbury by C. Carr Sen' (my mother) and by her, later given to me C.C. her daughter now C. Twisleton"
What do you think of that ? I'm just sharing because it's so interesting, I think ! Wonder who Miss Lott was and what the 'fancy workshop' was all about ? £4 for a smallish box, maybe 12' x 8' and 6' deep in 1813 ?!?
