Edit Images 71 & 72 of Baptisms 1811-1878 are for 1846 baptisms

occasionally the vicar would make a note in the parish Register as to the name of the putative father, but this information is not often transcribed. You have to be able to see the actual parish register to see it.

Have a look at this site (Chris gave you the same url) to see if they have transcribed the records that you are interested in, and see if they have added any other information

I think it unlikely you will find a bastardy bond / settlement order or removal orders for the dates you mention. I believe this changed with the amended act in 1834 when I think all the parishes started to amalgamated into unions./ workhouse.
I have found information in workhouse books about some things, if the books survive, but not naming a father of a child. The books are usually held at the record office/ archives.
Ancestral Trails by Mark Herber may offer more advice, the local libraries / record offices often hold this book

Playing around with dates on the above, the records seem to stop at 1841.

Chris, thank you. After examining the Cornwall records, I have come up with what I suspected. An illegitimate child record. Mother has the child recorded in her name, with no father recorded.
Does anyone know how or if, it is possible to find a register of illegitimate children's fathers name. Born 1844, Baptised 1846. I have heard of the Bastardy Bonds but do not know what date they operated till.

as its the record of baptism then thats the date it took place .

relationship means that natural child of .

mothers maiden name wasnt given at the time

fathers name is just that , the father of the child being baptised

parish is the parish of baptism

I have paid for a subscription to Parish Records.
My record is headed "Cornwall Baptisms"
Can someone please explain the various fields?
In my particular transcription, it reads,
Mother's Given Name. (This I understand)
Mother's Last Name. This is blank, why would this not have been provided?
Father's First Name. I presume this is the father of the Child being baptised?
First Names. I presume this is the name of the Child being baptised?
Father's Last Name. I Presume this is the surname of the Father.

however, the next field says "Date". and has the format dd/Month/yr
My Question, Is this the date of the Birth or the date of the Baptism?
Next field says Birth Year XXXX
Parish. Cuby with Tregony. Is this the Birth Parish or Baptism Parish?
Place. CUBY WITH TREGONY. Is this the Birth Place or the Baptism Place?
Relationship. my example says "Son" so that would indicate the Child is a natural child of the father (or mother) as distinct from say Adopted?

As I am new to these records, would appreciate any help in understanding just what I am looking at in the transcription.
