Thankyou all do much for the info!. We do know he married twice in England. First time to Sarah Griffith's and was widowed young with 2 young children ,(who ended up in care) . Then remarried 7yrs later to Ethel Newton.
He know the details of subsequent grandchildren.
The info re where he was living in 1939 is very interesting indeed. As is the possible shipping record which shows he may have left and come back.
A lot to be looking at. Thanks ever so !much for all the help
Regards Cassie :-D :-D :-D

Hello
Does anyone have access to immigration Into the UK rather than out of? I've looked at the travel and migration records but appears these are just people leaving the UK.
I'm trying to find out when a Chinese chap came to England. His name was CHIN/CHINE/CHARLES DUE. Ive found his 2 marriages etc and death in the UK so know he stayed in the Manchester area. He is shown as born 1885 and death 1951.
Thank-you Cassie :-S
