Hello! :)
Im looking for a family who left England for South Africa but i dont know where to start looking?!
I know they travelled from Durban to Southampton in 1960. I googled the wifes names and it came up on a website (http://www.identitynumber.org/2008-surname-results.php?surname=BUNCE) so i know the mother at least passed away in SA.
Is there anywhere i can search for BMD's? or newspaper records?
The family in question is
Arthur Frederick Bunce b. 1910 London Helen Vilma Johanna Stockitt b. 1921 ? David Peter Bunce b. 1947 Hendon, Middlesex Mary Ann Bunce b. 1951 Alan John Bunce b. 1956
Any help would be great!
Thank you

This is from Ancestry (no image) and seems to amalgamate both the parent's names
South Africa, Estates Death Index, 1999-2014 Name: Arthur Frederic Helen Wilma Johanna Death Date: 8 Mar 1979 High Court: Western Cape High Court High Court Provincial Division: Cape Town, The Western Cape, South Africa Estate Number: 1747/1979 Will: NO Customary Law: NO Spouse: Bunce
At least it gives you a Province to work with

Thank you guys! Do you think 1979 could have been Helen or Arthur's date of death?
Also what are your thoughts on Helen's place of birth? Searched uk records but she wasnt born here.. looking at her full name im thinking possibly German? On the marriage certificate she is listed as Stockitt but im thinking perhaps it was Stockett which is a German surname.

I suspect that Vilma Stockitt born c1900 is the mother of Philip Bernard Stockitt born c1923 and Helen Vilma J Stockitt. Vilma and Philip were accountants they travelled a lot- many times to South Africa.
