trying to find marriage of John Dunn and Catherine Egan possibly in Newcastle Upon Tyne Northumberland c1800/1807.
John was a Shipwright born c1780.
Would appreciate any help.

Not this family,my John and Catherine Dunn are living in Portsea Hamp. 1841 census.

Hi Maddie.
My ggrandfather married in Melbourne Australia in 1853 wedding cert. states parents John and Catherine, have copies of letters written by Catherine dated 1854/1857 to my ggrandfather naming other siblings that match Portsea family.

I am assuming this is the family but the 2 children must be Mary Dunn's, grandchildren to John and Cath.

Just out of interest, ancestry has transcribed Helen's name as Hellen in the 1851, and transcribed maria's age wrongly

The 1841 Census says that both John Dunn and Catherine were "born in county", ie in Hampshire.

are you sure that that is an error??
