Thanks Kay. I was aware that people said you could see on a record that someone was adopted but I didn't know how and now I know it is after the 70s also. |

My son was adopted in 1958 and because his birth certifcate was given to the adoptive parents at the time I applied for a copy. In one of the corners it was written "Adopted" although it didn't say who had adopted him or the new name he had been given. |
