To attract the attention of GR members who use Myheritage, it might be best to alter the thread title. |

I've not got that far. I'm trying to get in to set up and gave all details but where they ask for me to put in a site address (for other family to link to to see site) it keeps kicking back, not acceptable. |

Hi I'm trying to set up a site on heritage but can't get past the site address wanted. It keeps rejecting. Do you have to put MyHeritage.com at the end? |

There's no charge to download your gedcom nor, as far as I'm aware, from any site. |

If you have photos or links in your tree then they will not appear on the GEDCOM, you will have to add photos to the new tree and take whatever action is necessary for the links. |

The tree will remain the same. Some details may get mangled or lost if the gedcom is incompatible to the programme you choose. Basic relationships won't be effected. Or at least they shouldn't. |

I believe there are free Family Tree programs on the web which will enable you and your family to read the GEDCOM file. |

Under my trees there is an option to make a gedcom and export it .but I believe you need another tree programme to import it into |
