Hello
In order to look at 1939 record do you need the surname of the person at the address, or is the address sufficient?
I am searching a family of a young pilot killed in 1942. There is a Anniversary notice 1943 in the Isle of Man paper where he was born and buried in 1942. from Auntie,Uncle, Doreen and Margaret 29 CAMBRIDGE ROAD BROMBOROUGH (in Wirral Cheshire at the time)
I do know the young man's father had 3 sisters Catherine A Jones b 1890 Alice Mary Jones b 1896 and Margaret Jones b 1899 all born Liverpool but living in Wallasey in 1911. I have not been able to identify marriages for the women as the Jones name too common.
Thank you.

To find if any other GR Members are sharing names, you need 'Search All Member Trees' (top right of page here, under 'Search')

Thank you all for your replies and help.
I saw the article in the local Wirral Globe searching for living relations of a young Pilot killed in Wales in 1942 and decided I would try and help.
I have traced back the family and found George Douglas's grandmother Catherine Harriet Jones remarried in Jan Q 1901 a George Robert Brown, her husband Daniel W Jones died in Jan Q 1900
Looks like she was living with her daughter Margaret in 1939 as the date of her birth matches, perhaps the closed records will be Doreen and Margaret children of Margaret Becket mentioned in the Death notice in IOM in 1942.
Not sure why Catherine would have gone back to her previous name, maybe the marriage to George Brown didn't last, he was 20yrs older than her on the census.
I will try and find out more on the Becket family and hopefully a living relation.
The Jones name doesn't help with search
Best Wishes and Thanks
