Somehow, in my wisdom, I have entered some of my ancestors twice on my tree, how in the world can I blend the info for both, into one person? I Like to think I am reasonably intelligent but this has me beat. I am currently threatened with a possible shortened lifespan and trying to update my tree to leave it as complete as possible for my family, should the threat become reality. Unanswered questions may have to stay that way!! In the meantime I have 2 of several people, spent 8 hours today working on it and now I fear I have wasted those hours. Can anyone explain how I correct this, please and thank you. :-| |

Can you give more explanation of why you've entered them twice, please? |

I was transferring info to fill in details of multiple paternal cousins. Decided at the end to click on one particular name and he came up twice. Tried several other names and they are all entered twice.. The extra info is on one of the 2 entries, so obviously the one with less infor is my original one. |

If the duplicate entries have appeared by themselves, and not because you've actually entered them twice, email [email protected]. |

If the box with one of the duplicate entries has an icon in it that is like two sheets of paper then it indicates that that person is displayed twice on the tree to keep the connections simple. The date is only held once internally, so there will be nothing wrong with your tree. |
