And you may find the the oldest wife is listed as first, so if you want to show the wives in the correct order, you may wish to amend the DOB, and add the correct one in notes.

I don't know about it looking slovenly or confusing, but just add another spouse to your grandfather's record, and the children as offspring of that couple.

In "Immediate family" view, click on your grandfather's entry.
Click "add", then "Spouse", and enter his first wife's details.
To add their children, again go to your grandfather's record (or his wife's), and click "add" then "child". Put in the child's details, and be sure to select the correct parents at the bottom of that box.

Then if you click on your grandfather's entry on your tree (I'm assuming you mean a tree on GR), it will show both wives.
But if you click on your grandmother's entry, it will only show your grandfather and their children, and not his first wife.
Similarly, if you click on his first wife's entry, it will show her marriage to your grandfather, but not his later marriage to your grandmother.

My paternal Grand Father married twice. My Father was born to his second wife.

How do I correctly display his first marriage which resulted in two children

without it looking slovenly or confusing ?
