I have a copy of a marriage cert which says , '1962, Marriage solemized at the Parish Church in the Parish of St Mary Lambeth in the county of Surrey. Does anyone know WHICH church this definitely relates to? The cert is from 1862. Edward Walker was curate. I am just not sure if the church is either 1. St Mary at Lamberth right by the River Thames and beside Lambeth Palace (now decomisioned and is now a garden museum) OR is it 2. a now demolished church called st Mary-the-less? which was demolished in the 1960s and was on Black Prince Road and is now covered b Gibson road? |
