Just to add -

FreeBMD only has BMD's in England and Wales, 1837-1983 (although some years aren't completely transcribed yet.). As the name suggests, it's free to use.

For older or more recent BMD's, you'd need to use Ancestry or FMP (Find My Past). Both those are subscription sites, but a request on one of the GR boards will always find someone willing to look for you.

.
Older ones may also be on FamilySearch, which is free to use, though you have to register.

Scottish records from 1553 to 2016 are on Scotlands People, which is not a subscription site. Quite a lot can be found or deduced from the basic free searches. and then the images of most records can be viewed for the cost of a few purchased credits for each record. For more recent records you'll have to buy a copy of the cert in order to see all the details.

Ancestry, FMP, and FamilySearch also have a lot of Scottish records.

GenesReunited only has English & Welsh records.

Percy Donald's death in Australia was found on Ancestry, and I'm sure will also be on FMP.

Electoral Roll info re Aileen and George was from Ancestry.

Wedding anniversary info was from a Google search for their names plus the name of the village in Cornwall where they lived, per the ER.

ADDED:
UK Census records 1841-1911 are on Ancestry, FMP, GR, FamilySearch, except for the 1911 census for Scotland which is only available on ScotlandsPeople.

The 1939 Register is only on FMP - but again, a request on a GR board will find someone willing to have a look for you.

What is it you want to know about the family, Kevin?

Those births, marriages, etc, can be found on FreeBMD.

Aileen's siblings:

Marian, born 1821 Chelsea; Reginald A 1923 Chelsea; Derek W 1934 Romford; Percy D 1925 Chelsea (maybe that's Donald ?);

??
Emily 1922 Chorlton - I don't see any other Grey/Herring marriage..

EDIT:

Aileen Grey was born in Romford 1928.

She married George Farrell in Poplar 1948.

Won't post details as they may be still alive.

At least to 2004 they were on ER in Cornwall.
In 2008 they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in Cornwall.
By 2010, Aileen may be in Dagenham - no George, as far as I can see, but maybe he'd opted out of the public ER.

Several possible births of children:

Richard G 1949, George W 1950, Joyce E 1952. All Stepney.
Linda C 1954, Jean M 1957, George D R 1960. All Romford.

Have you searched trees for the names? Dates and a location would help.

edit if births were Chelsea and or Romford there is at least one tree that has them in on here.
