Ancestry library Edition

My library Ancestry Edition comes up with not a safe site so won’t let me search

Is there a reason for this?

You’re better off asking Ancestry.

They have been implementing ‘improvements’ for some time which were supposed to have been completed by 31 May. Reading some of numerous user complaints, one customer suggestion is that they are migrating to a new server. If that is the case - I’ve seen nothing official to suggest it is - that might be the cause of the invalid certificate.

On the other hand, they might just have failed to key in the correct code, or the library servers have an extremely tight security wall.

When I use Ancestry at the library it says This is not a secure site and people can steal your information credit card etc
It then goes back to safe place

I asked the library staff but they have no idea why

I can access Find My Past however but don’t find it as easy to use

I had Ancestry myself for 4 years but can’t justify paying for it now
