How to search 1901 & 1911 census by address only.

Please will someone remind me how to search the census for an address only. I know it's possible but can't for the life of me remember. Thank you. |

Depends which site you are using for the census. On Findmypast there is this advice:- |

Ah. Thanks Kath. I'm trying on Ancestry. It mustn't have the option then. Should have plumped for Findmypast instead. :-) |

On Ancestry, on the search page for Census and Electoral Rolls, enter the town name at "Lived in", and enter the address at "Keyword". Also tick the "Exact" box. |

No, it only works for 1911, and 1881, because the addresses are included in the transcription. |
