antoni wickowski and marian edwards married abt 1948 bridgend

she then got married again to a graham hawkins in 1958 bridgend

i cant find antonis death at all any help appreciated with this

Have you considered that the first marriage may have ended in a divorce?

A copy of the second marriage certificate should help..

How old was husband no 1 when they married?

Look for him under Wirkowski, which is the spelling on his daughter’s birth and on Marion’s second marriage

You said married "abt 1948"

to be more precise, it was in the June quarter 1948

The 1958 Registration shows that both names are given, although they made a right mess of Wickowski! ........

There is a comment added to Graham's entry that "Entry reads EDWARDS or WIRKOWSKI for spouse surname"


What does Marian say her status is on the 1958 certificate?

There are several options ...................

Antoni died so she SHOULD say Widowed
They divorced, so she SHOULD say Divorced
They separated, and she is not free to marry
The marriage was annulled, but I think that should also be stated!


Of course Antoni might not have died in England or Wales!
