I imagine these would be in the archives. School logs and registers had to be returned to the local council offices and many of them are now stored in the archives. Sometimes schools neglected to return them and they were ultimately destroyed. When I took over as headteacher in one school, I found a long-neglected cupboard full of log books, some going back to the early 1900s. The borough for Aberavon is Neath Port Talbot so you could try contacting them first. The record office in Cardiff may also be able to help. |
