The Father - Marshall Tennant died in 1910 - looks as though the mid range age children were elsewhere according to the 1911 census. The older ones would have been of use around the house, the youngest perhaps it was felt needed to be with Mum?

If Frank isn't on the 1911 census (I've looked and I can't find him either) then there won't be a census record with him on as 1911 is the last one available to us until the 1921 census is released next year.
Do you know the names of his parents? If not then you need to buy his birth certificate.

Thank you for replying to my question.
I am looking for a census with Frank Tennant on. He was born in Hull in 1904 but he is not on the 1911 Census. His birth, marriage and death are listed though.
I have only subscribed to Genes Reunited.

Who are you looking for?
When and where was he/she born?
What was his/her occupation? Could it have meant working overseas?
Did he/she marry?
Yes, mistakes were made by transcribers - lateral thinking is always useful when searching records of any sort
As has been said already, GR isn't a good site for research - its main benefit is the help one gets from other members

Welcome to the boards, Jane.
Unfortunately GR isn't the best site to search for records.
Subscription sites Ancestry and FindMyPast are the ones we use mostly, along with others. Those of us with subs are always happy to look things up, if you give us some details - name, DOB, names of other people who might be in the same household - eg - parents/siblings/spouse if known

There is very little difference.
Note - not everyone is on the census. Some don't want to appear, Sometimes the pages are missing or it could be down to poor transcribing, then you may find it transcribed differently.
Post the details and which website you used and someone will check the other sites for you. If you are in England and have a library card it is worthwhile checking to see if your county is offering free access online.

Does anyone subscribe to several web sites and find they all have the same census, birth pages etc. or do some have different ones? I am looking for an ancestor of mine and he seems to be missing off 2 census. Just wondering if mistakes have possibly happened when census, births etc. are being inputted onto the website. Don't want to join other sites and then find they have exactly the same information as this one. Thanks.
