Is there anyone able to send or post details from an article from Western Mail, Glamorgan dated 19 February 1932, please?
The title is Mrs M.J.Evans, Cardiff.
I can see enough from a search on Newspaper records outline on this site to see there might be names of interest. eg. Demaid

Ooh, thank you. I didn't know about that.
Edit It looks as if that site only covers pre. 1919, if I'm reading correctly :-(

It will be useful for other look ups, if I can narrow down the searches.

Thank you for the added information, Erika and alviegal.
The short excerpt that I could see on GR newspaper listing shows the names Skerrett and Demaid and it was those names which I hoped to read more about.
I'll see if I can link them to the records you have posted.

Thank you so much Argyllgran. That makes it a lot clearer.
Interesting to read that Ruth's (Frances Ruth ) 3 brothers had also moved to Wales from Herefordshire. Another brother, Edward had also gone to Wales but was back in Herefordshire by 1901. I will investigate William in Southerndown. I didn't know that he had lived there, although I knew he had previously lived in nearby Wick.

William's burial - address: School Cottage, Wick.
Maybe the obituary writer got his adress wrong, or maybe he moved back to Wick after 1932?

Thank you again ArgyllGran
Leah Harriet was the mother of the Harold who you posted about earlier. He was registered as Robert.
This extended family often swopped names around, .... or registered their child with one name and they then went through life using another, sometimes quite different one . Not always easy to match them up, but you have done well !

Thank you. I knew School Cottage well.
We visited most years, when I was a child. It was demolished mid 60s as 2 sides of the actual cottage formed part of a crossroads. OK when it was horse and carts and slower pace of living............
