Michael, You seem to have done very well to know as much as you do already. Sorry I can't offer any advise, but, if you find any of your Davies men married Dowell ladies then come back to me eh? :~D You're working in the same geographical location and time frame as me so who knows !! X Sioux |

Michael I don't understand why you need pointers on where to start, you seem to have gone further back in a week than a lot of people manage in months!! Seriously though, what else are you trying to find? Are you researching sibilings etc of the people that you know about or are you trying to go even further back in time? Sam |

Welcome to the mad and addictive world of genealogy! If you scroll down your Homepage, you'll find the GR has some pages of useful info which you can access via links with names like "getting started". That should set you on your way, along with using the thread-search here to see if your question has already been asked. And you can always put up specific questions on this or other boards as things crop up. After a little while you'll be fluent in BMD, censuses, Wills, archives, directories, transcriptions... Google (or whichever search engine you prefer) is also a good way of finding things. Christine |
