Heather, I just wanted to thank you for directing me to ancestry. I found a good contact on the message boards whose Gt Gt Gt Grandmother is my Gt Gt grandfather's sister. she has lots of info which she has sent me, including the 1841 details so again very many thanks. I have had ancestry for 18 months and still don't really know how to get the best from it. at the moment I don't have my tree on there. would you advise it? |

There are some parish and court records on there you know! and pallots marriages and do you have any WW1 soldiers who may have a pension record on there - which are wonderful, pages of info sometimes (sadly all mine were navy, not army). |

No, no WW1 pensioners. have spent all afternoon searching for somebody else on here so haven't had time to go back and look. She appears to have disappeared now so have stopped that but now it is time to get the dinner!!!!! There is always something isn't there? |

Hi Ann did you find Joseph Bate in the 1841 census? Wow it has been 8 or 9 years since this was posted. |
