i can't sleep

i don't even know where church stretton is, i live in solihull but nobody ever knows where that is so now i just say i from birmingham.

i missed the tea and cake so i finished off the hob nobs

Spent most of lastnight getting rosettes & prize cards organised for the show on the 8th.
I do seem to spend a hell of alot of time doing various bits for the club that i'm secretary of. I never knew how much there was to do, it will be a year at this next show.
Work very soon, so back later.

Marion, I have family in Tavistock, tis a small world lol! Such a pretty place, I can walk to Dartmoor from their house, reach Cornwall in minutes too by car.

He's 94yrs and my Stepmother 95yrs !!

The only thing was he was hinting he needed a carer to go with him,
I can just about look after myself, think he was hinting !!! LOL

I am surprised at how many people on GR who have my relations names and often born in the same places.
My door opened when I joined GR and kept getting emails from people who thought we might be related. the thing is a lot of them are branches of the family tree . The Ackland family in Devon are a big one and well know they have many children in each family and l started the tree with Quakers I have a full list of them from Hemyock in Devon.so many of their families still live in Devon and I hear from abroad as well. The Lee family like the Acklands are the same..

I have made many friends by belonging to the DFHS.

sorry shimmer didn't see your post there, i remember a particular thread of yours when i first started on here looking for my hubbys family, we never contributed (was too shy) but we looked in from time to time as it gave us such encouragement and comfort

Well Girls I have been out for a walk this morning beautiful day out. so if you want to come for a cuppa you can have a victorian coconut sponge cake with fresh jam and cream.

No GG it is from Co-Op shop in Knaphill Surrey but it is nice and fresh. and lots of fresh cream.
