Hi,
It had gone very very quiet on here, so I tried not to take it personally and trundled off to have a free go at the 1911 census, which works a treat, I might add.

Dormouse Report 27 Jan 2009 23:39

The 1911 trick is great - wish I'd read the tips thread before I'd bought all those credits.... Still, never mind.
I didn't really take it personally that everyone seemed to disappear. It is difficult though when you're new to the chat boards. There's all these conversations going on between people who know each other and you feel it would be rude to join in without an introduction, as it were. Also, I was told that people are a little wary of newcomers, in case we're old members in a new name, out to cause trouble!

Edit: Could I put in a request for a mug of milky tea in the morning? Ta.

Oh GG, please don't worry ...

Am so hoping you're able to rest today, get your sleep pattern back.

Haven't heard anything during the night about my dad, so am crossing my fingers, hoping everything will be okay.

Tis absolutely pouring here, hoping tis better where you are. Long gone are the days when I had to walk my son to school, remembering them well.

Morning Rita.
With Google, if you move your cursor over the picture, it comes up with a caption telling you about it. Today it says: Jackson Pollock's birthday - courtesy of the Pollock Krasner Foundation, ARS/NY.
Which is a lot more informative than my latest batch of Hot Matches. ie My Tree - John Jackson, born 1822, Church Stretton, Shropshire; other person's tree - Jane Hoodlass, born 1837, Middle Rasen, Lincolnshire!!!
Any tea in that pot??

Edit: Pollack is described as a influential American painter and a major force in the abstract expressionist movement - which is why the picture looks like a three year old's to me........... LOL

When i was young i used to forget to turn my electric blanket off & wake up half cooked. Frightening when it could easily have caught alight, must have been a goodun!!
Thanks for the drink Sue but I'm having a Chelsea too @ yummy.

We are getting lots of visitors/new folk, good to see you all.
