I supposed Michelle's dad to have been over from Ireland and to be seen as a red herring ie being the new partner of Steve's, for buying the Rovers. But then he did come in handy for the shifting ;-)

I think the scene with Norris and Roy was wonderful.

Norris was actually considerate for a change, and put aside his malicious gossipy twitchings.

However, he came back to form standing outside the pub watching the cat fight!

Can someone please tell me WHY is Michelle's awful father on the scene? What does he actually bring to the storyline?
