I thought Roy was a tad over the top going (with his shopping bag) to hospital and asking to see Oncologist.....he's a funny fella :-S

But good thing Kirkey was there in the factory for laughs ....."is Beyoncé coming to work here?" ;-) :-D

I guess all soap operas have to reflect real life, even the daft bits, because as we know that's how life can be.

I think the writers will give Hayley and Roy excellent lines as, for me, they are two of the best characters and actors in Corrie and feel sure the story will not offend.
Lots of viewers will have been affected by the subject.

I want to know where is Tyrone? The garage is shut? Thought Tommy had gone back to help him.

I know the effects of pancreatic cancer,I know someone who had it a few years ago.

There were no symptoms, but suddenly she woke up one morning with crippling pain in her stomach. Luckily it was caught in time, and although she had part of her stomach removed, she has recovered. She will always be on tablets, but she was very lucky.

Every so often the soaps do an illness to make us all aware. With the increase of cancer in general, I suppose it had to happen.

I would prefer to weep at soap operas than real life! As long as it is sensitively acted and directed, I feel this particular theme may be of help to some folk. Each to his own, though.

Yes those odds are scary. Maybe it might alert somebody to seek advice though.

Ann I always feel there might be someone suffering the same and I don't think I would like to watch if as the plot seems to be the demise of Haley and the fact that they gave you last night that only about 1 in 5 survived . I know what they are trying to do but I don't like it so it's ta ta Corrie for the time being ...Did the same with Neighbours years ago when Madge got cancer when my mum was diagnosed and do you know have never watched it since...Ok call me daft I know :-)

No Nolls I know what you mean, I hope they don't drag it out for too long or make it too traumatic, I appreciate why they do these scenarios but it is not always a pleasure to watch.

I know it's only a story ...but too real ... I won't watch it for that period as I watch Soaps for enjoyment and escapism .... I know you will all think I'm daft but can't help it :-(

Ah poor old Hayley, she will not be clip clopping over the cobbles in her red anorak for much longer.

I do like Julie Hesmondhaugh [I don't know if I spelt it correctly] she is so unlike her character, she is a blonde under that wig.

Its gonna be a weepy ending, I can feel it in my waters.

A very sad Corrie Ann and nothing to smile about :-(

AnninGlos Report 22 Jul 2013 21:05

Bit of a weepy this evening wasn't it.

I had not realised how bad those odds are. One in five is alive after five years.(as Hayley said, that means four in five are not). I believe she is going out of it sometime soon.

We saw Amy tonight, so now we know where she is. Is it the same actress? Pity she looks straight into the camera, lol.

Now your starter for 10..................................is there a more devious, cunning, conniving, rude, smart@rse, creature than Tracey Love?

MotownGal

What a tangled web we weave...................................I am catching up with the story, but I don't know what to think.

I have heard the expression years ago, but have never used it to my knowledge. Its like that other expression my dear old Mum used to use when I asked her where she had been 'Up in Annie's room!'. Long past into the mists of time.

The soaps do have causes every now and again. When it ends, the voiceover always says 'If you have been affected by So-and-So's story, contact .........'

I did really know what transmogrified meant...............I just didn't want to be a clever clogs!!!!! lol [before you all jump on me, I am NOT saying that Mau, is!]

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
