Due to health issues, I am only planning Live Running Commentary for the South Africa v USA game at the moment, especially with a big weekend of rugby ahead.

SAM BURGESS WARNED OVER HIGH TACKLE

During the last 10 minutes of the ENGLAND v AUSTRALIA game on Saturday, while the Referee and TMO were investigating "Tackling a man without the ball" by OWEN FARRELL on MATT GITEAU, which led to a YELLOW CARD for Farrell, they had missed another incident that happened at the same time and in the same area.

There was a "HIGH TACKLE" by Rugby League convert, SAM BURGESS on Australia's MICHAEL HOOPER.

By the letter of the law, Burgess should also have received a Yellow Card, and sent to the Sin Bin along with Farrell, but it was missed (poetic justice for the missed Michael Hooper Foul Play maybe ;-)) Had it been noticed, England would have had to play the remainder of the game with just 13 players!

Sam Burgess has received a Warning from The Citing Commissioner.

Australia's Michael Hooper has been Cited over an alleged incident of FOUL PLAY involving England's MIKE BROWN during the ENGLAND v AUSTRALIA game on Saturday.

If he is found guilty, then he will miss the WALES v AUSTRALIA game on Saturday

We have had an exciting weekend of Rugby World Cup Games!

For some, like the England Rugby Fans among us, it has been a heartbreaking end to the competition!:-(

For others, like myself, the World Cup Dream is still alive! :-)


This is last week of the Pool Stage. By Sunday, all 40 Pool Games will have finished.

The Top 2 Teams of each of the 4 Pools will enter Stage 2- The Knock Out Stage, starting with the Quarter Finals.


STAGE 2

In this part of the World Cup Competition, there will be no accumulation of points. It will be a straightforward KNOCK OUT.

If a team does not win it's game, then that's it! It is out of the competition!


By Sunday Evening, we will know which 8 teams have gone through to the Quarter Finals.

SOME TEAMS ARE ALREADY THROUGH!
This is because the other teams in their pools now cannot beat them.
These teams are AUSTRALIA, WALES, NEW ZEALAND, IRELAND and FRANCE.

I hope those of you who are looking in on "Radio Jem" (this thread) are enjoying following the Rugby World Cup 2015 along with The Rugby Gang :-) :-) :-) :-)

With all teams in POOL D except for Romania having played 3 Games each

IRELAND ARE NOW TOP OF POOL D WITH 14 POINTS

France is in 2nd Place also with 14 Points, but Ireland have a slightly higher Points Difference Score.

The top 2 Teams from each Pool will go through to the Quarter Finals Knock-Out Stage once the Pool Stage is over.
