How are the Rugby World Cup 2015 Teams doing in the Pool Tables?

In Stage 1 of this competition, the 20 teams that qualified were put into 4 "POOLS" or groups with 5 teams in each.

The top 2 teams at the end of the Pool Stage will go forward to the Knock-Out Stage.

Bear in mind when you look at the tables, that they will change as and when a new game is played.

The Sprinboks' Captain, Jean De Villiers has decided to retire following the injury which forced him out of the Rugby World Cup 2015.

Jean sustained a BROKEN JAW during their victorious game v Samoa last Saturday.

WILL SKELTON
Will sustained a PECTORAL INJURY during the Wallabies victory over Uruguay on Sunday and has been ruled out of the rest of the Rugby World Cup 2015!

He will be replaced by 26 year old SAM CARTER in the Squad.



WYCLIFF PALU
Australia's Eightman sustained a HAMSTRING INJURY during that same match.
He is being replaced by Hooker JAMES HANSON, 27.

BILLY VUNIPOLA IS INJURED OUT OF THE WORLD CUP!

England Eightman, Billy Vunipola has been ruled out of the rest of the 2015 Rugby World Cup following an injury he received during the England v Wales Game last Saturday night.

BILLY HAS A KNEE LIGAMENT STRAIN.

Harlequins NICK EASTER will be replacing him.



COURTNEY LAWES
England Lock Courtney Lawes was also injured during the same match. He has a knee injury and it is doubtful he will be fit for England's game v Australia on Saturday.



BEN YOUNGS
Ben, England's Scrum Half was also injured, as so many were in that exciting game.
He had an ankle injury, but is improving.



BEN MORGAN
There is a bit of good news for England. Ben Morgan is fully back into training.

Mikey's a big favourite of mine, but I have to grudgingly say, he's not quite as fast at getting the ball away as he once was.

Gareth Davies is doing very well, and has scored quite a few tries in the WC.
And Lloyd coming in on the wing instead of Scrum Half was the turning point in that game!

So many playing out of their normal positions- Rhys Priestland on the Wing, George North at Centre etc!

RECENT LOSSES

SCOTT WILLIAMS
Scarlets' Scott partnered Jamie Roberts at centre making a formidable duo.

Sadly during the course of Wales' terrific and surprising victory (in the circumstances, as they were dropping like flies!) Scott sustained a KNEE INJURY and is can no longer take part in the World Cup this time. :-(

HALLAM AMOS
Hallam along with LIAM WILLIAMS were the next two Wales players to get badly injured, when he sustained a shoulder injury in an tackle involving Owen Farrell.
He too is now unable to take part in the rest of the competition :-(

LIAM WILLIAMS

LIAM RECEIVED A BLOW TO THE HEAD FROM ENGLAND'S TOM WOOD's KNEE.
Liam suffered CONCUSSION and will not be able to play in at least the rest of the POOL STAGE of the Rugby World Cup.

He will have to follow a CONCUSSION PROTOCOL before he will be allowed to play again.

The incident has been investigated, and England Flanker, TOM WOOD has been cleared of any intentional misdemeanour, but has been given an official warning, which counts against him as a YELLOW CARD on his RWC record.

Three yellow cards in the tournament lead to a disciplinary hearing.
