Presumably not in this country or that would have been a lot of child benefit. did it say how old he was Dermot?

22 degrees here already, I have a nurse appointment later then I am going with my friend/neighbour to the local garden centre for coffee.

At the moment I am resting and cooling down after cutting the lawn. Phew. Hope you can all cool off today.

Spent another hour and a half in the garden can’t get another leaf in the garden bin, stuff grows when I am not looking. Discovered that the loganberry that we were not keen on has regrown after Dad chopped it down so I have cut that back again

I have had another go at tying up the peonies and that does look better. Cut back loads of Hellebores. Then The sun went in so I decided to have a go with the hose, I had never unreeled it before. But I am really pleased with myself as I managed it and managed to water almost the whole garden. Next step was reeling it back up but that was surprisingly easy. There is a leak is on the bit that joins two hoses.so I need to buy a new connector.

Good morning all. Florence pleased the move was OK and hope you can soon get straight. Is there room for you to add a few cupbpards? I must say I am envious of your view although not of the midges, horrible little things. Your neighbours sound nice and good of them to mow the front lawn. Hope it won't be too long before the phone line goes in, hopefully your provider will have space.
sunny here this morning and 16 degrees so looks like being a lovely day.

It sounds great Florence.....Well, apart from the midges. I'm not keen on them.

I can imagine the wonderful sunsets, what a view for you.

Let's hope that something can be done soon about getting the landline up and running.

Hello Chit Chatters!
Well the move went okish.Had a few issues with the removal van so I have put pen to paper raising my concerns!
I can actually see the lounge carpet now.Bixes were floor to ceiling on Monday.
Telephone isn't in yet and talking to the other 3 neighbours, they were told by BT(not my provider,), there is no room for 4 more lines!!! So I'm using my mobile data on my phone which I'm being very frugal with.I get 5GB a month.
It is a lovely new house but less space and cupboards so I do feel a little squashed at the moment.
There is however a local boot fair in 2 weeks so still plenty big things to sell.
Neighbours are a couple in mid 50s,a man in his 40s just left his wife and a young couple 24 and 26 not yet married.Hecwas in school with my son.Made me feel very old when I spoke to him as he looks so young lol

Both neighbours have kindly offered to mow my front lawn for me as I'm not fit for it.I have someone coming to do the back garden on Monday.Thst is really a huge area.

I guess I shall have to do some baking to thank them.

Glorious sunsets last few days at 10.30 pm,just fab watching over the sea
The view is fab.

Hope everyone ok.

I will post as and when, just not everyday until landline is in and WiFi up and running.

I would invite you all to a house warming, just a little to far to come, but we could easily have a self distancing BBQ here no problem except for the midges here.

Take care all and I'll be back soon
