I have inherited some jewellery and some of it, (rings) are a bit to big so can anyone advise me on what I can do to stop them from sliding of please? I would much rather wear them than abandon them in a jewellery box Thank you.

I have had several rings altered in size in the past and it didn’t cost very much. It just depends how large they are and how valuable they are. As Ann said you can buy ring guards on Amazon for about £5, which I think would be fine as long as the ring isn’t very big to start off with

My daughter has a very simple narrow silver ring which fits underneath a silver ring that is slightly too large for her finger.

I thought it was a great idea ......... it was completely hidden until she showed it to me when we were talking about the fact that my engagement ring, which was made larger about 25 years ago, is now slightly too large and spins around on my finger.

I'm not sure where she got it from, I must ask her! It might have been Amazon!

My mother had what she then called a keeper ring, which she put on after her engagement, it did make for a stack of 3 rings, and almost filled that area of her finger!

Many years ago a colleague had a sprung clip on thingy which went inside the ring. It worked well.

You can get anything on Amazon ;-)

I expect the one I am thinking of came from a Jewellers as this would have been in the days when a computer was room sized :-D

I remember them names.

My engagement ring was a little too big at first ( OH chose it on his own without me around) so I had one of those little clip things for a good few years. It was comfortable and unnoticeable in use, but eventually I decided the ring would be OK without it.
