Hi all,
Who on earth said that the earth is warming up? I was out on my scootmobile today and my nose nearly froze off. There was a bitterly cold wind so i was pleased to get home again. Johan did have a nice cup of tea ready for me. I saw that the opticians was open so I went in and picked up my new glasses. I wonder whether father Xmas will know me now??????????
I took my new trousers to the repairers to have them shortened and the man didn't trust my measurements so had to try them on for him. I hate having to take off all my clothes in the winter and try things on. They will be finished by Friday.
I had been looking a long time for a pair of really warm trousers and that is why I am so late. I tried many mail order catalogues but they were all so thin that I sent them back. In the house now I am walking around in jogging suits - fleece material - which are lovely and warm.
See you tomorrow.

Hi Everyone I am home,
Had a lovelly time weather was really great, just what I needed after being ill.My friend who comes with us needed the holiday as well and so did her husband as this time last year she had just had a mastectomy and he had a hip replacement.!!!
we stayed in a hotel that does bed and breakfast so we had chance to try out all the estaurants wekeep lokking at.,all but one was really good.
The down spot of the holiday was having my bag "dipped" and my purse and mobile stolen!!!
We were on sunloungers by the pool and my bag was between my bed and Johns .I had my back to him talking to my friend and he got up and went to the toilet, and I did not realise my bag was exposed ,and in those few minutes it was gone.!! I felt really sick to say the least.I went to the security and the police but they could not do anything and as the waiver on the insurance policy was more than the phone was worth (Money wasn't covered only travellers cheques it wasn't worth putting in a claim.!!
It was great to read all your messages and nice for all of you to keep things going.
Have to get to bed now have to go towork tomorrow.!!

Hi everyone
Carolling is over for another year, it has been hard going on our voices. We have had venetian blinds installed in the conservatory and vertical blinds in the lounge/dining room. The vertical blinds has made the lounge look much bigger, much better than the curtains that were there when we bought the place. Soon after the blinds were installed we put up the Christmas tree to give that yuletide feel. We are having Christmas lunch with at my brothers and Christmas tea at Mum's. Craig arrives today and staying for a week before going to join his fiance and her son.
Off for a coffee break, as I may not be back on the thread before Christmas I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hi all,
Wel I've had a peaceful day, just made a batch of mince pies and my hairdresser has been to blow dry my hair
Sorry about you being robbed Brenda.
Somebody "gave" me a mobile phone. I was in a shop and went to put some shopping in my basket in front of my scootmobile when I noticed this mobile phone in there. It hasn't any batteries in it so cannot use it. Just puzzles me who put the darn thing in my basket.
Am going out tonight to a drinks party but don't want to put on anything too flimsy because of the severe cold weather.
I have a bottle of champagne for the host and hostess and for their little girl of 3 I have a teddy bear.
Now to get myself all glamoured up.
Have a nice evening.

Hi everyone
Hope your Christmas Day celebrations are going going well. Our Christmas lunch was at my brother's place where 14 of us we ate a mixture of cold meats and salads followed by cold desserts. Then in the evening my brother joined his wife's family while we went to Mum's. On Christmas Eve Craig bought himself a new 24-speed bike and rode to the waterfront and later went around to his cousins place to see them and their baby. Today he is with them and his other cousins and so its Gayle and me at home. Had problems earlier today with the internet for some strange reason I lost connection and spent about an hour getting it back.
I see Bill has been here.
Take care,
John in NZ
