hi brenda again do try and not overdo things I hope that john is feeling better, we are now having some warmer temperatures but now the floods have started as the massive amounts of snow start to melt, to-day I think that my gentleman friend is heading up for a visit unless some of the roads are flooded out on the way up but it is so nice to see the sun , spoke to anne yesterday she is still on a high from her birthday on saturday 57 cards she recieved she does love cards, but again I don't think that she is going to come over this year, sooooo I had a look at prices in oct via charter and they are not to bad so I am thinking maybe I will come over but it will depend on the budget I really shouldent but then again the thought of seeing anne bury market and the book stores well it does give me idea's I shall just have to buy a lottery ticket bye for now dorothy

Morning all, apologies for being missing this last week due mainly to being out in the van still,Peter not being fit enough to drive till next week.
Of course,by the time i have come in again and got dinner ,and started housework.i am knackered come evening ,and have been having early nights.
We pulled a flanker yesterday knowing i was at the hospital at midday today, and stayed out late, doing all todays work in the afternoo n.
This leaves me today clear [yippee],so i can take the wife out this morning to do the shopping,go straight to the hospital by bus ,leave there and take a leisurely trip to town by said bus, while my eyes recover from the stuff they put in to dilate them.
We pulled some turkey meat out of the freezer last night before going to bed,and with it i am going to do a stir fry for the tea.
I won't use a bought sauce for it because of the sugar levels in it,but will make my own witjh a little ginger, soy sauce ,chinese 5 spices and garlic.corriander powder,so it should be pretty tasty.
Sorry to hear of peoples troubles ,makes me reralise just how small MINE are compared to Brenda,Sylvia ,and a few others.
Spare a thouight for our Oz and anzac cousins though peeps, they have had a really rough week with the weather ,droughts ,and hurrricanes,on top of their other worries,us brit's are so lucky in many ways.
I hope everyone is okay for the heating for the next few days, bad weather is coming ,and we look to be going back to winter yet again,he he,think i will go put the lids on the tattie barrels to give the young shoots protection.
That's about it for now,but i will be back in early this evening .Fred.

Hello everyone, another quick message i am afraid, weather has been good today apart from the odd shower of hailstones !!!
Not doimg much at all these days, but still having pain and feeling tired.Back at the doctors next Friday, can't see me going back to work like this.!! I would be a hinderance when there was only two of us on,not to mention a potential danger as well.
Johns just doing the tea so I had better do the table ,I can manage to set the table at least.
Brenda.

Hi
Daylighting saving finished early this morning (2am in fact) although we altered the clocks backwards before going to bed. An extra hour in bed - ha ha, we were awake quite early today and its going to take a few days for our body clocks to switch over. I pity those who have sporting events today or at conferences particularly if they forget to alter their watches and arrive late at the event.
The Indian Summer we have experienced has ended, we have had some rain but would like more. The fire ban that existed for the past few months has been relaxed. Rain was forecasted for yesterday (Saturday) and again today (Sunday) so far there has been none of the liquid coming from the heavens.
Looking at the clock its time for coffee so I will grab one shortly. Catch you another time.

Hi all,
Yes, Brenda, your progress is going slow, just like mine.
I have now decided to change my urologist, but have made an appointment with my doctor for Friday and will discuss this with her and Johan. Johan is also sick of me and my problems too and it was him who phoned the doctor for an appointment.
I am swallowing masses of anti bacterial tablets so when I really do have a large bacteria there will be nothing that will help. The catheter business is no good either as I cannot get more than 100 ml urine out at a time. The girl expected around 400 ml.
My patience is now up.
It has been so cold again here and all the cars were white this morning when I got up.
I didn't really like to ask my help to clean the balcony and clean the windows, but she didn't mind at all. It is a good job that we are not all the same.
Now see you all tomorrow.

Well I have booked a midweek 5 days at Center Parcs in a luxury cottage with all the extras. Well Johan did say "treat yourself". We go on 21st April until 25th April. My help will come as usual on Monday the 21st from 9-4 and when she goes we go to. There is no point in going earlier as we cannot get into our cottage until afternoon.
I'm walking round with thick sweater and on top of that a poncho. Johan has only a cotton shirt on. He never could understand me!
Although I am not fit, we'll just have to manage somehow.
I did bake a couple of bread today and was going to make a tart but got down to sorting out some cards ready to send away so will have to make it another time
The weather looks so lovely during the day with the sun shining, but oh that cold ground frost shrivels me up.
See you all tomorrow. Back to hibernate.

badger Report 11 Apr 2008 08:27

Morning peeps ,the calvary is here maybe just for the day,but needs must ,and all that Jazz lol.
I have today off [yippee] and may even be retired again.
I got up at six this morning after being rudely awoken with a scuff round the ear and a wet nose stuffed into it,[pesky cat wanting breakfat].
Fred tumbles out od bed thinking ,just one lay in would be nice, sigh.
I put Hissy in the kitchen the night before last thinking ,bliss, peace and quiet until i get up for work, but it was a lovely dream gone wrong
lol.
Who got woken at three in the morning by a feline playing foot ball in the kitchen with a cat version of a tennis ball, stotting it off the kitchen cupboards ,bong bong clatter, and then ,who decided to have a mad half hour bouncing off the furniture and kitchen table slamminjg into the door ,with all the sound effecys hissing and yowling until Fred caved in,going down to let her out,and WHO was sitting on the bed as i walked in with a smug look on her face grrrrrrr.
So much for that idea ,letting her stay in the bedroom is the kesser of two evils lol.
This morning ,i went into the front room where i am sitting now,and pulled rthe curtains back ,preparing to boot up ,and saw ,out of the coerner of my eye ,movement in next doors garden through the fence.
Knowing said family is on holiday i had a closer look ,rubbed my eyes and did a double take.No ,there is no mistake ,there on the lawn are 4 ducks and a dog scratting in the grass for breakfast,,hech,Fred rubs his eyes for a second time and sees the dog is no dog at all,it's a black and white Goat.
The penny then drops, they belong round the corner at the end house next to the green.
We often see these ducks ,goat and chickens on the green, but i have never seen them wander this far before.
It must have been some site though ,for any city dweller at six in the morning lol,can you imagine?,some poor driver ,coming round the corner ,still half sozzled from the night before ,to see four ducks and a goat in tandem, ambling along the path cor,the mind boggles.
WEe have at last sold the caravan,it goes to it' new home Monday week ,but it's going top a lovely couple with two young bairns ,the bairns loving it,both the bunk, and the hammock chosen before it even leaves our drive,so i reckon it will be loved and cared for .giving good service for a few years yet.
Having the drive clear again also means i can get into the shed again, leaving me room to clean the shed out ,and bring indoors ,the dishwasher at last.
I can then ,also start on the garden,it looking a bit like the Malasian jungle on a bad day ,at the moment lol.[i may even find a couple of Jap soldiers hiding there].
I will have to start in the garden by emptying the two compost bins on the veggie patch ready to turn it all over, and leaving the bins empty to start this years compost.
The lawns will be next ,which will fill the two bins half way up,followed by the privit hedges which will fill them completely.
Then i can start on the borders and get the new flowers and roses put in.
Martin ,the son has said he will do the hedges the first time for me,and after that it will be just a case of keeping them tidy.
He offered too ,to do the lawns ,but i turned that down,i need the exercise which mowing will give me,and 'sides i don't want to do it all at once ,but spread it out, over a few weeks.
Hope you continue to improve rapidly Brenda, and hope yopu others follow suit, maybe some nice sun will help us all,it's been a long ,miserable winter ,hasn' it?
Off now ,to see about the headlamps,i'm hoping i can get heavily tinted ones to cut the glare off the roads when i am driving.
I also have to go to the nissan dealers to get my tin of touch up paint so that the son can repair my drivers mirror where some berk has caught it with a shopping trolley, same berk probably drives too, makes a body shudder dosn't it? ,can't steer a trolley ,yet goes onto the road in a car ,shouldn't be allowed,he he,i have been driving thirty odd years with no touble ,including heavy lorries and buses ,yet ,gets clobbered in a car park at morrisons,by a trolley yet ,ohhhhh ,the shame of it all lol.Well that's it for now,see ya later peeps ,have a good weekend.Fred.

goodmorning what a rainy day it is here but wht a great way to start teh day reading about all the happenings at fred's between the cats antics and the ducks and goat it made my morning, sounds like you have a great deal of work ahead of you with the caravan being gone fred all that you are planning to do in the garden sounds great. brenda you should be at the doctors to-day I hope that it goes well for you, anne phoned yesterday quite excited she was apparantly she can now get free calls to canada with her broadband or something with her phone co. not sure I understood it all but anyway we shall be able to natter for free to our hearts content , she had a visit with the artritis specialist and he is going to put her on some new medication that you take once a week she said that after reading about it it sounds like a "death pill" you have to have frequent blood tests and chest x-rays but if it gives her some relief then why not try it. if our tempertures keep improving over here I shall be able to start walking around the lake again and get back into a bit of better shape and drop the ten pounds I think I gained over the winter, it is quite pretty around kempenfelt bay and there are good walking paths, a lot of areas are flooded at the moment near the different lakes around here and some people have had there houses flooded on account of all the snow melting. well that is enough from me have a great week-end I have just renewed my membership for another year on this site bye for now dorothy

Hi all,
Went to the doctors with Johan today to talk about me have a second opinion for my waterworks My doctor agreed and I have a letter for a new hospital in Hilversum. I can choose between 3 urologists, two male and one female. I might just opt for the female this time.
I also asked the doctor to look at my left ear as the nurse said it was all red and swollen. I went yesterday to have my ears syringed out and she got a large prop out of the right one but wouldn't touch the left one at all. I now have drops to put in 3 times a day. I wonder what I will be getting next. I've had just about everything now.
Loved to read Fred's antics with his moggies. They can be so funny can't they?
Hope you are doing ok Brenda.
Love, Sylvia xxx

Morning evertyone,
Fred you are starting to sound like Jude with all the animal antics but they do brighten the day, hope you don't overdue the gardening,we don't want you retired again and in the sick bay straight away.!!
We have the same problem with our cats do we leave then in the kitchen to create mahem or leave them up here wher they can jump over the bed and walk all over us etc.!!!
Sylvia hope you get better results from your new doctor, and she can sort things out foryou.
Dorothy Ann will be talking about Skype,Johns neice in new zealand uses it to get in touch with her parents ,its done via Broadband ,you need a web cam and a micro phone .You get invited to join and it is free. its sort of like msn with words, fred will probably know nore about it.
I have been given another two weeks off work, stronger painkillers, a different stomach tablet and am back on statins, along with being put back on the low fat diet to get more weight off.
I am going back to work on a phased return which means I will only work half my hours at first and work up to my full jhours in a few weeks.
Managed a walk round a local shopping mall yesterday ,but was tired afterwards but not in much pain.
Gioing to dads in a while but am ordering some shoes from a catalogue I have seen in a asale .See you tomorrow.Take care Brenda.

Hope you got my p.m Brenda.
Yes you can use skype like msn messenger or yahoo messenger to speak using a headset and camera, none of them cost to talk providing it's done via a computer.
I use both messengers ,and ,having just added Firefox 2 as my main browser , i can use google email site to talk as well.
The garden is still out because of the weather ,so Liz and i are having a lazy day.
The cazt in the kitchen is working well ,i removed the play balls before locking her in last night, and it worked a treat no noise or things going bump in the night lol, utter bliss in fact.
I even got to lie in until 7.30 unheard of for me he he.
Having read further down the list seeing dorothy on about talking via the computer,i think it may be an idea to find out if we are all on msn ,messenger ,or yahoo, and get something organized between us.
I have been in touch with peeps in oz and new zealand using yahoo messenger, and msn messenger ,so it's easy to do.and totally free.
See ya later all ,hope you all had a good weekend.Fred.
