goodmorning from a sunny but cool barrie brenda I am glad that you have recieved some more time off and I hope that the new meds do the trick, now as to anne and her free calls to me I am not sure if it is via the computor as she never uses it I think it is something with her phone provider but I will check it out more with her maybe to-morrow, this week on firday it is my daughter in laws 40th birthday I believe we are all going out for dinner, andrew is taking the family to a theatre show in toronto that lindy wanted to see (stage show) and the children are going as well. he had put to-gether a surprise party last year when she graduated again from university and decided that another one would not be the same, my sister is coming again from calgary on the 15th of may she will stay with me from thursday to sunday she says it will be her last visit this year so we will celebrate my birthday (24th) a few days early the 17th of may is a long week-end over here and most people come up and open the cottages that week-end the highway is usually packed so it is good she is coming on the thursday, this is a sports day for me I shall watch the manchester united match at 11am against arsenal and then it is the masters golf it is quite good this year two younger men at the top of the leader board though tiger is only 6 back he could put on a show to-day though it is nice to see a unknown take it once in a while, glad to see fred that the cat gave you a lie in this morning bye for now dorothy

Hi everyone, fred I am on msn or rather i was but haven;t used it for ages, used to talk with Bill and June andCarol in New york and a few others ,then it fizzled out,but it would be good to sort something out.
weather was great today and I fancied havinga walk,as I need to start doing some sort of exceise. But had to stay in waiting for the electric man to change the meter. He was due somewhere between 12 and 6.Well he came at 2pm looked at the old meter and said i can't change that , because of that, pointing to something else, and said that it needed changing first So now it ll be August !!! after that i had a couple of calls from my sister and a friend so I did not get out hopefully I will tomorrow.
Hope your sister visit is ok and the birthday dinner party. Is your birthday april 24as that s my son Davids as well.
Take care brenda.

hi brenda no my birthday is may 24th sorry that you idea of a walk did not work out maybe you made it to-day, we are in for some nice weather this week sunny and warming up though they are s till ski-ing at the one resort near me, but the floods are causing quite a problem for many folks, and there is still a lot of snow left to melt in the forests near the lakes. I am going out to day to see if I can find a gift for the daughter in law for her 40th no idea's come to mind as yet, though I bet I end up in the book store , they have been showing from new york at the local cinema a series of opera's from the new york opera company and lindy and her sister have been going to them so one idea was a book on opera and maybe one from covent garden just a thought, thats all from me to-day hope all on line are fine and the weather down fred's way has improved bye for now dorothy

hio brenda hope all goes well withyour dad at the doctors to-morrow glad you had a little walk, well my son called me to tell me that part of the present he bought his wife was a new goalie stick she plays ball hockey in a league and he thought that as I wanted to know what to get her there were two other pieces of equipment she would like, what a 40th birthday present lindy is a very feminine woman not verytall and quite slim but she loves playing ball hockey it is like ice hockey but played on cement no matter what the weather games are only cancelled if there is lightening. so I told him to pick up the equipment and I would give him the cash so no book on opera's. I am having the children overnight on friday so that andrew and lindy can sit down and map out the route they are going to take to the west I believe they will head to manatoba saskatchewen and alberta they mean to hit the calgary stampede on the trip they will leave on the 30th of june for three weeks should be a good trip lots of lovely views along the way and the camps they stay in are full of all mod cons. we had a nice sunny day to-day oh yes anne told me she is with tisscali car phone wharehouse I think that is it and that is how she is getting free calls to canada not sure if I spelt all that correctly well bye for now dorothy

Apologies peeps, but i am still tied up with the van driving at the minute ,and don't seem to have a minute to myself.
You take it easy Brenda, that library can manage quite well until you get your health back,so take it easy, and TAKE YOUR TIME,lol.
You sound busy Dorothey,at least some of us are getting some better weather he he,where's the sun i asked you for?,it hasn't arrived yet
I'm up early this morning as i havn't slept too well ,and i'm now watching this daft cat tunnel under the hearth rug while playing with a paper ball that she plays football with, think this daft moggy must have been a miner in her last life.
Peter is starting to get a lot better now,the foot healing well,so i expect to be retired again within two weeks, perhaps that's what the weather is hanging on for[he says hopefully.
See you later ,have a nice day all.
I'm watching you Brenda, put that broom down,or i will send Mary over there to sort you out .[tuts]
Fred.xxx

Brenda Report 17 Apr 2008 19:18

Hi All,Fred haven't had a broom or anything remotely like one in my hand for ages.have done a bit of ironing each day for a few days now ,and also cooked a couple of meals so thats not bad.Had lunch with y sister today and a walk round asupermarket looking at bags and shoes ,but did have what we went in for.
Dorothy glad you did not buy the books before talking to your son.HOpe Lindy likes the presents.
Dad was ok at the docs he has left him on the steriods the other doctor put him on because of the cougth they do seem to have given him his appetite back but he can only have them in short bursts due to having an ulcer years ago.
Hope to get to our favourite place on Saturday ,but we shall have to see how the weather is and how I am.Today i have been really good almost no pain, and no wind, but will see how i am during the night and tomorrow.
Take care brenda

hi it is thursday evening just read the message from brenda and fred, glad you are feeling a little better brenda and that you are able to get to bury market to-morrow I hope that fred is able to get back to normal routine soon and that the weather improves and he can get back to his garden. our weather is quite warm it was 21 above to-day so much better than 21 below people were out in shorts to-day. brenda andrew just phoned me and told me that he has made arrangements for quite the display to be put on the lawn for lindy's birthday to-morrow it is a display of cows, flamingoes balloons and a big sign saying still sexy at 40 she likes to go for an early morning run about 6am with the dog so she will be surprised when she heads out, glad to see that my son still can be a romantic at heart, I went out to-day and stocked up the fridge for the children staying over they like me to do french toast and bacon when they stay over for breakfast. well I guess that is it for me bye for now dorothy

Morning Brenda,Dorothy, and anyone else who looks in.
Wahey,i'm on a long weekend ,all done till Monday, but what a bummer,i gets up at five to feed that ruddy cat lol.opens the curtains ,and it's piddling down with rain[again],so sobs ,wrings hands and says [bugger]he he.
I still havn't got that second load of tatties in the second barrell, and here was i thinking about a third, but i suppose ,there is time yet.
With the way food prices are going up,i may finish up removing the back lawn and using the patch to extend the veggie growing, things being what they are.
I think i may use the new buss pass today to take the missus over to the metro cente,at least we can have our walk about in the dry,i may even buy her some dinner,we don't eat out very often.
You sound as though you are slowly getting there Brenda, taking your time seems to be the order of the day.
Well ,the weekend is here again, halfway through april, and still cold and wet ,lol,we may as well look forward to christmas folks ,we don't look to be gettting a summer this year lol.
Ducks to hide from the missiles, and old boots.
See ya' later all.Fred.

goodmorning one and all brenda hope you have a nice visit with your friend yes I do hope that lindy enjoyed the surprise I will find out later to-day when we all get to-gether for dinner I think we are going to give Ianhis gifts as well seeing that monday he will be 9 and they swimming lessons that evening he will have a party with his friends later in the week, I have to agree with fred that growing ones own vegatables is a good idea the price of food is going up weekly, I did grow tomatoes on the balcony last year and I think that this year I am going to add a green pepper plant, and I will see what else I might be able to do remembering that I am not a great green thumb person, again to-day we are looking at good weather 24 degree,s but along the lake there are still piles of snow melting away, and the one shopping centre I was at yesterday still has a big pile of snow at one end that has not melted yet. hope you all have a great week-end fred enjoy your time off bye for now dorothy

hi everyone the weather to-day is realy nice going to go out for my walk soon, brenda the dinner with Ian last evening was great he started off with calamari then had two big bowls of mussells he could not manage a third, then had a big slice of carrot cake as he put it that was the best grandma, I had fish and chips but no mushy peas they just don't do them well over here. the server was surprised that at his age he had such a menu choice. brenda can you remember how soon neil's book is coming out I am sure I am not going to be able to get it over here so I will have to send anne the money and have her buy a copy and mail it, I know he said he would send me one but I feel rather cheeky asking him to do that anyway enjoy the day bye for now dorothy
