Evening all, another one who has been busy in the garden lol.
I have got the rockery cleared of weeds, the new plants put in and watered, leaving just the front borders to do now,so the front should be finished by Sunday afternoon.
The missus has the greenhouse well under way,and i bought the last of the seeds for this year at the market garden this afternoon after finishing the weekly shop.
I am fully intending to have a nice lay in ,in the morning ,lord help the cat if she wakes me up before 7 oclock,i will be shutting her in the greenhouse for a week if she does lol.
Off for my tea now,a lovely rainbow trout for me ,steamed in foil in the mic, covered in butter and herbs ,topped off with lemon slices,
Catch you all again tomorrow .

goodevening from a very cold barrie only 3 degree,s they had snow in shelbourne a town not to far from me crazy weather, my sister left to-day at noon we had a very nice visit on friday we went shopping and I obtained my sticker for the cat it passed it's emission test, then I had a new photo taken for the renewal of my drivers licence I had to remove my specs so it will not look like me, on saturday we went to brampton to the parents grave and then visited with some friends it rained all day yesterday so we had a lazy day, this evening I have been burning scented candles something I rarely do but new people have moved into the suite next to mine and they have been cooking curry oh the smell in my place is awful it is coming though the walls I am going to have to wash things in the kitchen as it is very bad in there, the cats are going around sniffing and howling at times. one cannot complain as you are told it is a racial complaint!!! as my partner is from jamaica way back when I can hardley be called a racist I hope this is a one of once a week I will have a word with the manager but I don't think that she can do anything the other people on our floor have been out in the hall spraying air freshners. thought the pictures of peter phillips wedding where very nice hope you all had a good week-end does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the cury odour out of my place I have just put bowl of vinager in the kitchen bye for now dorothy

Morning all ,from a bright sunny, early Wednesday morning lol.
[That bit for Dorothy ,hoping her weather will catch up shortly.]
Well, lass get together with all the neighbours who object to the smell of curry, and if the curry eaters will not listen to reason, retaliate by cooking bacon and pork in every shape ,way or form, the more aromatic the better.
If the powers that be say anything ,you answer is,if you say i can say nothing about the smell of curry because it's racist, then you can't say anything about us cooking pig for the same reason.
Just make sure you all cook bacon and egg at the same time every morning for a week, the smell will soon let the curry munchers know you have the answer.
By the way, complain to the apartement owners in that no way should any smell be coming through a wall between apartements, that shows bad build.
I had a good afternoon, the watering of the lawns after the feeder is showing results already, the patches are going away and lush new growth is showing.
I have nearly finished the weeeding and planting of the borders out front,so ,by the weekend i can look forward to a nice relaxing day in the back with the gas B B q uncovered and rarin' to go.
Liz says the tomato seedlings are through ,as are the peeper seedl;ings, the latter being jalapino's scots bonnet and sweet ,so there is plenty of heat there lol.
nearly all of the seedlings are in now ,only the brussel and late winter cabbage to put in ,they go in at the end of this month.
Seems i have won a two week holiday in florida [yipee],all i have to find is the air fare and insurance, the hotel bills are prepaid ,as is are all meals in said hotels, but if we use room service ,that has to be paid for.
Seeing as outdoor food is a lot cheaper in the states than it is here ,i think we will do okay,'specially if we go in the middle of winter lol.
Have to go peeps ,off out now for my morning walk [nudge ,wink] say no more he he,back later.Fred.

Hi,
In retaliation to the curry smell, how about trying fried sardines. These really smell awful when being fried. I used to fry some fresh sardines when I spent my winters in Spain and our neighbours complained as the odours wafted over the stairs to the other appartments. The only one to appreciate the smell would be our moggies.
Will write more another day as I am knackered after a lovely day out today.

goodmorning I see that manchester united won the big match how great is that. again it is raining but the sun is supposed to shine for the week-end . to-morrow three not two of my friends are coming up for the day an extra surprise is that another lady is making the trip the 4 of us have been friends since we were in our 20,s so it will be a fun day for me. the price of petrol and bread have just risen again this week does not appear to be an end to this. the manager had the superentendent fix a new peice on the bottom of my door and gave me some spray to help with the curry problem, apparently the new people own a mr sub food outlet and work long hours so maybe the curry cooking will only happen now and then,!!!!!! I am giving bryan money for his birthday to-wards golf camp or golf lessons but going out to-day to pick up a little something extra for him so he has something to unwrap hope you all have a good day bye dorothy

Morning Dorothy,Sylvia, anyone else? lol, where is everybody these days, have the holidays started already?
Liz and i sat down last night and perused the pamphlet of the holiday we have won ,and decided that all in all ,we preffered the original idea of the holiday in Oz,so,as they say, nice idea america ,but NO DEAL ,lol[tears up paperwork] and not filling in the info for pay pal .
Well.holiday time is hear[nearly, and i spent the main part of the day finishing the long border in the front garden, and sprinkling lawn seed on the brown patchesin case i have done it again he he [putting too much feed and weed on ,killing the grass in the process],ho hum ,thinks about spraying the lawn with green paint.
The rest of the time i spent on scrubbing the patio table and chairs ,ready for sitting outside ,and B B Q ,s,mainly because Fred fancies one over the weekend ,and the missis will give me hell if she gets to sit down on a dirty chair.
Our brown bin arrived yesterday, now i won't have to put grass weed into the rubbish bin anymore, and will have more room for proper rubbish.
Now all we need is the wheelie bin for recycle waste and we have the lot.
Looks like i have to cut the hedges this wekend too,but it isn't so bad now,i can tow the bin along the front as i go and will be able to piut the clippings straight in with out having to bag it all first, much easier.
Today we are off to the metro centre where i have got to buy one of those new compact bagless cyclonic small hoovers for the cat hairs lol.i'm afraid ,now that the moggy is fully grown ,the hairs will agrivate the missus's chest complaint if i allow them to build up on the carpets and furniture.
I suppose i could get rid of the missus, and save my money ,and keep the cat he he ,no dear ,i didn't mean it [ouch].
While we are there i will be taking the wife and Sean in to the chinese buffet as promised for dinner, before coming home.
I hope the spray works Dorothy,i love a nice curry ,but i couldn't stand Madras smells under my nose 24/7,it would put me off curry for life.
Well, that's me for now peeps ,enjoy your long weekend all,no matter what you do,and you take care Edith and get yourself fit again.Fred.

Morning everyone, from a Very sunny Newcastle ,wher fred has been watering the lawns lol.
I put the feeder/weeder on both lawns a week and a half ago because the forcast said heavy rain, and showers grrrrrrr ,still no water from the heavens,so old fred is out in the garden at six in the mornings spraying the grass like a demented dervish.
It seems to be working because i can see where the new growth is coming away, but ,there is no substitute for rainwater.
We are away up country today so that i can try out my new toy[sat ,nav], i don't like to use a map when i am out in the car ,a sat nav is so much more efficient ,[if loaded correctly].
A map ,for me means being out on the moors with a tent ,map ,and compass where they can all be used to determine exactly where you are,and where you intend to go.
Off now to throw a thunderflash into the bedroom to wake the old biddy up.it's either that ,or a wet flannel he he,,so,if you hear an auguished scream in a few minutes ,it's only Liz getting a wakeup call.lol.
Fred.
