Hi all,
Well everything is going well, all static caravans are booked and we are all set.
Fred, it's about time your family bought you a TomTom and then you can relax when out in your old jaloppy!
Fred, we are going to stay on Winston Caravan Park Co. Durham 23rd - 27th June. Is this far from you? Would like to see you for coffee, and anybody else who is able to come of course.

Morning peeps ,wet here today but i ain't worried as i only have to take the missus shopping today.
Don't need a tom tom Sylvia,i have the latest french michelin sat nav for the car,so i will use it to come down to durham to see you, lol,it will be the first time iv'e used it ,so it will be a good trial.
I will need the area of the park off you though to load into the sat' nav ' if you have it,the nearest town will .
My [old] japopy is most upset he he jemima is not yet a year old ,so don't be suprised if she ignores you altogether, like most ladies ,she can be very touchy when called old lol.
County durham is only over the water, and durham itself is only 11 miles from the house so it won't take long to get there anyway, hopefully you will have some nice weather for your visit,it's a lovely part of the country, with plenty to see from the river ,to the cathederal, and town itself.
Hope everyone has a good weekend Sylvia ,Brenda, and i think a couple of other peeps will be interested in Meeting our Sylvia too.maybe Ann from darlington,Jenny from Tynemouth, and maureen from down durham way ,to name but a few.
Off to do my hubby duties now, console Jemima ,so she will take us shopping he he,and get the supplies in before it snows again [well ,anything is possible with this weather lately] Fred.

goodmorning how nice for sylvia if fred goes to see her we are also having strange weather hot one day and cold the next, the birthdays keep going last evening the family went out to the chinese resturant for a lovley meal and we got caught up on gifts, I recieved a pilates work out mat and d.v.d and special work out bands for a cardio work out do you think they were trying to say I need to exercise more!!!!! plus note paper and from ian a day lilly kit ( pot and soil and bulbs included) as he put it it says it is easy to grow grandma so I thought this would be good for you. my friend Isobelle arrived last night for the week-end so we shall overdose on the french open and maybe a side trip to the casino to donate our usual 20 dollars though last time I did win over a 100 maybe this time I will be lucky again. I hope you all have a good week-end and brenda I hope your dad gets a little better have you started neils new book as yet bye for now dorothy

Hi all,
Well, things are getting exciting now. Will be lovely to see Fred and any others. We have first to cope with my eldest daughter's 50th birthday. She is giving a big party later with her partner, who was 60 in January. We don't want to go to that party as it is too busy for us. My grandchildren have just been bought all new clothes for the party. No, all a bit too much pomp and circumstance.
Will keep this short, but hope to give you a mobile telephone number for emergencies whilst we are in England.

Morning all,wow ,looks like being a nice one today not eight oclock am yet but the sun is out ,the sky is blue, but our hissy won't enjoy next week too lol.
Fred is going to get his heavy gardening gloves out .cos he is going to need them.Hissy is to be neutered, after i realised reading blurb ,that having her done gives her a less stressful ,and longer life.
She is a dear little baggage ,and i want her around as long as is possible.
Seeing as anyone on an invalidity benifit can get a cat or dog seen to for under £10 there is no need to chance a cat or dog getting [caught] .
I need the gloves to hold her down while the vet slips the needle into the vein, she will create something awful [ouch] bit like a firework if you know what i mean ,lol, light the blue touch paper and retire he he.
I found the caravan site Sylvia, complete with post code so the sat nav will get a good trty out coming down there.
I note that the park is near to Darlington,a lovely old town with a smashing indoor marketthat you may enjoy,i know it's time i was in there again.
I would think that Ann who lives in the area would be interested in a visit, should be nice ,two of the nicest ladies on genes ,getting together for tea and biccies [which Fred will supply].
Hey Dorothy,i am breathless here trying to blow some of this loooooverly weather your way, after the rain over the past two days ,and now the sun,i know what Fred will be doing this afternoon lol,the lawns look great, green and healthy BUT, they need a hair cut he he,but seeing as we intend to sit out this evening for a last bought in chinese meal before Sean goes back to camp in Cyprus,we are going to enjoy the time we have left with him.
We found this chinese takaway by accident a few weeks ago,and ordered two meals ,one chicken sweet and sour cantonese style, and one beef in ginger and bamboo shoots ,with water chestnuts sauce both with egg freid rice, and what we thought two small side orders of chips, cause Fred being a naughty lad decided to hell with the diet ,i want chips [stamps foot in a strop].
The meal arriveedd piping hot and smelling lovely, but disaster, when opened it showed a mountain of everything ,no way could Liz and i eat a half of it,so ,an sos was sent out to the son and grandson ,who arrived ten minutes later.
The two meals cost us £11 -50p and could have fed four adults never mind 3 and an adolesent he he,so,this place is on our once every couple of months list,[the other month it's our fish and chippy]
The garden is looking good now ,liz has done her usual in the greenhouse ,and i have tons of veggies to put into their buckets, and sink into the garden.yep ,a busy week next week methinks lol.
Off to have a look around my domain now, before it gets really warm out there ,see ya later all,and ,enjoy your weekend.
Brenda ,hope your dad is comfortable and things improve for both him ,and you. very soon
Fred.

goodevening 10-30pm well my company has gone so it is just me and the two cats speaking of cats fred I do hope hissy went through the procedure well, I appreciate you blowing good weather my way but it has not arrived still raining all week-end, isobelle and I had a great time watching the french open and then making a donation at the casino just a little one, then we caught up on some movies. am looking after the children the next two evenings and then on wednesday taking bryan out for dinner he is quite impressed by being officially a teen-ager he has a trip planned to ottawa with the cadets to go white water rafting he told me about it this way"grandma we are going on rafts and I could get killed" as I told him there are some things you do not tell your grandma and that is one of them, it is quite dangerous but they have good supervision so I am told by my son and his wife. brenda I hope that your dad continues to get better and that you do not tire yourself out, I am off to bed the tennis starts at 7am my time so I will set the alarm crazy or what! bye for now dorothy

Good morning everyone, cold and dismal here to.looking pretty soggy out,he he.
Dorothy, sorry you didn't get the sun,it backfired here, going from warm and sunny,to back to heavy rain overnight.
Hissy is now booked in Friday morning ,so i don't know yet ,if we will get her back Friday evening ,or Saturday morning.but we are going to have her chipped whil;st she is in the surgery,so ,hopefully ,if she does manage to get out,we will be able to trace her.
What finally swung us in favour of having it done, despite the small chance things might go wrong ,is the fact that she will be a healthier moggy ,and she should live a lot longer as well.
Sean goes back on Wednesday, but this time i only have to take him to Newcastle airport ,instead of down to Brize Norton for his flight, much easier.
He went out a couple of days ago,and bought a couple of plecks for his aquarium,to help keep the tank clean,as well as the fact that they are pretty amazing little fish.
Is therer someone out there who knows anything about them, and goldfish?.
I ask because i can't find one of them anywhere, even though i have looked everywhere ,on the sides of the tank, round the filters on the bottom ziltch nada,no seeum[american indian],has one of the goldfish turned cannible?,one of them,is quite a size and is lurking in the corner of the tank looking guilty.
The car is due in for it's first service this month,so i need to borrrow Liz's hoover to do the inside he he,the tools it has will be ideal for doing the floor and seats, making the car much for pleasant for the mechanics to work on,i try to do what i can for them ,they are so good ,and even return the car ,all polished and sparkling, and even a new freshner on the dashboard.
Well ,that's it for now,off out for a gander before it starts in to rain again, lol.
See you later. Fred.

Hi all,
Yes, we have much the same weather as you. Lots of thunder and lightning.
How is Hissy Fred? She sounds a real little spitfire but should calm down after her treatment. My daughter's cat even went to sit on her lap after her treatment, which was unknown of before that.
If we have a Chinese meal Fred then I often freeze in the leftovers. You cannot do that, however, if the meal has been frozen in before.
I made a lovely chicken curry myself on Sunday for visitors I was going to have today, but called it off as I wasn't feeling so good.
My granddaughter Linda is coming tomorrow night so she can have some chicken curry for dinner. We are then going to discuss how we are giving her mother her 50th birthday present.
I'm looking forward to meeting so many from GR and the Birthday Girls, as well as my cousin and maybe sister in law and nieces. Who knows?
Do you think Fred that Hissy had anything to do with the missing fish?
Just a thought!

badger Report 7 Jun 2008 09:31

And ,a good morning all from 'im ,in the wet north of england, but never mind 'a ,at least it's reasonably warm, and i could do with a day off from lawn cutting,he he.
Puss came back home last night ,looking a bit like a poodle where her fir had been shaved off prior to being speyed.
She let us know straight away that she was NOT amused at the dirty trick we played on her lol, sitting in the corner ,with her back top use for a good hour ,before relenting ,and cuddling into Liz's lap on the sofa.
She went to bed with us as usual,.and cuddled into the missus's back on top of the covers while ignoring me completely.
This morning the baggage had me up to feed her at six ,then scooted off back to bed ,back to ignoring the hand that always feeds her,[sigh] females ,they do tend to stick together and ignore the males he he ,maybe i should have selected a tom ,instead of a queen lol.
Looking at the greenhouse and all the greenery within,i reckon i am going to be busy this next week ,putting in cauli ,cabbage.kale, beetroot, leek ,and onion plants.
The greenhouse itself is doing well too, with the tomatoes ,cucumber and scots bonnet, well away,so,no matter what price the greens go up to ,this house will eat well.
We noticed that the old garden lights were about shot, and noticing the new ones in Netto £10 for 10 we bought a box,and i spent a half hour putting them in the back garden yesterday afternoon.
Hey i couldn't resist having a neb through the window at ten last night as we went to bed,and have to say,we loved the effect.
If there are any left,i will be buying another box for the front garden too.
Sean is away back to Cyprus after his leave, and hopes to be home again in time for Christmas all being well.
We have had a letter through the door this morning informing us that our new recycle wheelie bin will be coming out in the next two weeks, fantastic,we then have a proper place to do all of the recycling, what with two compost bins for lawn and hedge waste, through to the new bin,so i won't have to cart stuff down to the recycle plant in the car any more [yipee].
Time to go,my birds are raising the roof outside because as yet ,they havn't been fed he he,my little feathered friends are spoilt rotten, but they are worth it,for the enjoyment they give me alone.
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend, take care everyone.
Fred.
