I love going into Japanese shops - there used to be a department store in Melb, and there's one in Singapore, and there are a few tiny little shops around - one in Subiaco, Perth, WA. I just LOVE their plastic stuff. Oh, there's even a Japanese $2 shop in Parramatta, and again over on the North Shore here. Half the time I dont even know what I am buying, but I just love the shape lol I think I must just like bending plastic. Jood

I'm here too, just had a lurvely T-bone with spinach salad, OH has hit the hay (he starts at 2am-ish on Sunday's) and I won't make it till 10.30 Mary but maybe a bit longer, I don't get up till 6.15 on a Sunday, have to have shop open at 7. Am watching Dr Who and emailing the rellies about Japan news. Here are some quotes from the daily bulletin of the school DD is at for 10 days - translation into English is fractured, perhaps the website does it, but anyway, I think the following is charming! 'In order new Japanese stay to become memory deep ones, please receive warmly. Steadily, you will try English, will try teaching also Japanese.' Later there are comments about how the amount of talking at lunch has increased day by day. 'With calligraphy of afternoon, it began from practice of the Chinese character which has been known. Everyone is not accustomed, it had tackled seriously.' ' In the etiquette room as for the footgear arranging, it enters, you do not step on the edge of the tatami mat, basic etiquette such as sitting straight and manner of bow was learned.' 'Japanese class for increasing the name of Japanes food which has remembered, the practice which you write. The pupil who uses properly hiragana and katakana was many.' I regret that I am now probably too old to learn Japanese myself, but I am now quite enthralled with the idea of visiting one day, DD will have to escort her parents I think! ~~~ Hz

A Melbourne couple, both well into their 80s, go to a sex therapist's office. The doctor asks, 'What can I do for you?' The man says, 'Will you watch us have sexual intercourse?' The doctor raises both eyebrows, but he is so amazed that such an elderly couple is asking for sexual advice that he agrees. When the couple finishes, the doctor says, 'There's absolutely nothing wrong with the way you have intercourse.' He thanks them for coming, he wishes them good luck, he charges them $50 and he says goodbye. The next week, however, the couple returns and asks the sex therapist to watch again. The sex therapist is a bit puzzled, but agrees. This happens several weeks in a row. The couple makes an appointment, has intercourse with no problems, pays the doctor, then leave. Finally, after 5 or 6 weeks of this routine, the doctor says, 'I'm sorry, but I have to ask. Just what are you trying to find out?' The old man says, 'We're not trying to find out anything. She's married and we can't go to her house. I'm married and we can't go to my house. The Sheraton charges $98. The Hilton charges $139. We do it here for $50, and I get $43 back from Medicare .

Wow, now that was a Grand Final. Even though I grew up in Sydney, I think the best team won. They played a better game. Okay, Storm, you'd better get your act together tomorrow. Yes, Fanny, you're right about the drip marks. That second dip in the pool and the race inside to score 14,000 needed a clean up, lol. Lew Lew xxx
