Evening Wattlers Well we are in fine form today arent we???? Firstly picking on poor Mary and her one liners, sorry Mary I wasnt here to come to your defense lol. Then Jood and Lew having a go at the wind that started from here, now what little birdie has been speaking out of place ????? rofpmsl Mary no the newspaper havent been yet they had to postpone it for a couple of weeks, but it is not my footy room it is my lounge room and poor David has too live with it year round and he doesnt go for the 'Hawks' Dannielle got home from camp ok, had a bit of a fall, running around in the dark and fell over a rubbish bin holder, but apart from a big bruise on her leg she is ok. but she thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and slept in the tent one night. Mary!!!!!!!!!!!!! ................ wash your mouth out!!!!! .. Lol Actually I thought, now I can have a shower ok, despite no power, cos I have a gas heater – so why did I reach out for the hair dryer ? Hmmmm??? ... Brain not thinking too good. Had to ring g/f up to pick me up – as I couldn’t get the b*****y car out of the car (since its electrical also). .. I did have a key, but I have a feeling I am supposed to do something to the roller door on the inside, and there not being a male in sight, I had to give up. .. I really must find out how to do it for next time. Pam, only went to the local bowling club at the other end of my street. .. They have a badge draw once a month, I’ve never been before. .. Wind was so strong that a huge tree fell across the road whilst we were in the club – police – firebrigade everywhere – and that was only once place. .. I have heard sirens since I;ve been home. .. Missed the first part of the news, but did hear that there were gale force winds, fires in/around Richmond (bottom of mtn) and trees down everywhere. .. Welcome to summer SES !!!! .. I bet they never expected to be on duty so early in the season. Speaking of a star studded ceiling – girlfriend that I visit up the coast has just bought a house, and when I was a guest, my room ceiling was navy blue with all these stars – I didn’t know what hit me! .. lol Hope the winds subside everywhere soon - anyone know what caused them - since they started in Tassie. (for naughty Lew's benefit - Tasmania) .. pmsl Ooooooh thunderstorms for GC & Brissie - batten down peeps - hope you havent got leaks in your pipes! Firebrigades here on high alert. Jood

Afternoon All and the weather didn't get any better. We went to lunch and when we came home, found the local Abattoir (which is in the middle of being renovated) was on fire! Apparently, a piece of corrugated iron blow up and wrapped itself around the electricity wires. This, combined with the high winds, has caused a rather nasty fire. Thank goodness the winds are blowing in the opposite direction!!!! Anyway, we were without power for quite some time and the winds have only just subsided. The pool is full of wood chips and will take a fair bit of cleaning. ~~waves to all~~ and will check in again soon. Lew Lew xxx
