Afternoon Wattlers Yes I am still here, not blown away yet ,but winds are still blowing, but not as bad as this morning. Went to shop and everyone was running around picking up recycle bins and rubbish that had blown out of them, where they didnt put them in a shed or somewhere for the night. Copuncil was out picking up broken limbs of trees but havent heard of any major damage, apart from a couple of houses that lost roofs or part of. Lew no I wouldnt have made it to Melb wind is blowing in opposite direction, so I would have ended up more like the Antartic or NZ. But one good thing is the house has stood up well with no signs of damage. Hello to Trifley hows the weather up in Sunny Qld ???? Sounds like its a bit windy in Vic as well. Hows things with all the Sydneysiders and surrounding areas? Well must go, have to take Tamika to doctors to get results of blood test hopefully. Cheers Sue |

Afternoon Wattlers, Hope you are all well and haven't been blown away. Its a lovely day here, the breeze is just right. Ah Queensland, beautiful one day, perfect the next. Tony, and Mary, if you are coming up to our neck of the woods we will lay on a mini meet for you. We are getting quite experts at it. Mary. why not treat yourselves and have a couple of days at O'Reilly's. I think that you deserve it. Lyn did you mention that you would be up our way soon. I have been trying to ring Jill, but I mustn't have the correct number, as I can't get through. Funny I rang her before okay, or did she ring me, can't remember now. But I am getting a bit woried about her, what with the rash and her grandson. If anyone has her number please could you let me have it. Did you buy anything nice Trifley. Have you tried Harbour Town and is it any good? Tassie, are you still with us. I was wondering what had happened to all your christmas decorations. Did you manage to get them all down from the old house? Ofcourse, the Princess had to remind us all, I call that mean. LOL Lew, couldn't you be bothered testing the wines or going for breakfast? Have you felt your brow, do you have a fever. Maybe a few purple pills will do the trick. Do we have lotto this week? I lost my list but know that it isn't my turn. Well, I think it may be time for a coffee, anyone care to join me. Everyone have a great day Luv SuzyQ |

Hello All, Just a quick note today as my brain is elsewhere. DD packed last night but I was a bit suspicious at how quick it took! I did however save her from spending three weeks in Japan with two pairs of socks!! I think I'll check closer tonight. We have to take her to the school to be at the bus at 2am - they will be in Melbourne by 6am-ish, have brekky, check in, and flight leaves at 9am Saturday for Tokyo. Weather temps there are 19 - 25 and much more humid than here. Plus there's a typhoon brewing south of Tokyo. I will be hanging out for the first phone call - will let you know when it happens!! Friends son has just returned from a four month stay as a 16yr old student and he called me the other morning so I was able to ask some questions, he was very reassuring. So I'm certain they will get along fine. OK, going now to tidy up office, because OH and I are having a few days off early next week together wink wink nudge nudge!! ~~~~~ to Wattlers everywhere ! ~~~~~~ Hz in Albury |

Good morning Wattlers Beautiful day in Qld - has been perfect weather for our carnival of flowers which winds up this weekend. Then on Tuesday, our Level 5 water restrictions commence. No water use outside except to wash car windscreens and pet cages. Interesting. However, we can use grey water outside which means I'll be putting buckets in the shower, running water from the washing machine etc. for the garden. Katherine started her school holidays today - she has a friend staying and they have their heads together giggling. My memoir about starting school was published in our local paper today. A half page spread with a colour photo I'll have you know! So - who would like my autograph?? Hmmmmm.... I thought so. Rooster one day, feather duster the next! On a different topic altogether - we have camellias planted down one side of our house and they were just beautiful. About 5 years ago, they started to die slowly - a branch here, a branch there, and eventually, died altogether. We consulted the expert at our local nursery and he suggested a fungal infection so we spent a small fortune on anti fungal stuff and replanted camellias and again they started to die. Well, Chris was digging a trench to run the water pipe from our proposed new tank (it comes in 4 weeks - plumber can't get here for 8 weeks!) and when he was digging near the dying camellias, the soil absolutely stank. It was near the gas pipe and to cut a long story short, it appears we have had a gas leak from a join in the pipe for years. Couldn't smell it - it just sent the soil rotten. So, gas company fixed it and we will be able to replant after the soil revives. It wasn't showing on our gas meter as it was on the gas company's pipeline. So - beware of underground gas leaks. A joke for you Lew Lew - well I thought it was funny. You mightn't! 'The problem with lawyer jokes is that lawyers don't think they're funny and nobody else thinks they're jokes.' PMSL..! And another - 'Nothing in fine print is ever good news.' Hey Tassy - are you still with us? Hope the wind didn't get too nasty. I can't believe that it's a year since cyclone Larry hit QLd - some poor souls are still waiting to get their houses fixed. Best get some lunch for these girls. Cheers everyone Luv Anna |

Morning Wattlers, Lew if Tassie has been blown to Melb she wont be stopping here, try NZ....lol The wind is really strong, trying to hold the line still while you peg the washing out is a tough job, but at least everything should dry well. Speaking of dry, OH was up in the roof at 9.30 last night playing plumber so we now have a dry bedroom again. Now he will have to be a painter and redo the ceiling...lol Have to get a couple of birthday pressies today so I'm off to the shops. Have a great day and stay out of the wind. Flakey |

Gooooood Moorrrrrning Wattlers from a fantastic Mudgee. What a glorious day. I hope the winds stay away. Terry and his mate have just gone to town for breakfast and a tour Are you still with us Tassie? Or are we going to find you blown across to Melbourne. Mary, you really are enjoying your new abode, aren't you. Anyone heard from Lara? Tony, you gonna cook Pizzas at the Mudgee Meet??? Here's one for you: 'A guy rings up a home delivery pizza place and orders a 'thin crusty supreme' ... So they sent him Diana Ross!!!' Okay, on that pathetic note, I'm out of here, heeee xxxxx Dr Lew *makes note to take humour pill more often* |

Goodmorning Wattlers, Another lovely sunny day on the Bay, feeling more like summer than spring. There are three giraffes idle - heads reaching into the skies, planes are in and out at a great rate, and the beach is littered with walkers. I think the freeway tunnel must have been closed for a time last night and all the traffic diverted down our road, it was so noisy, mainly from the big trucks. Workers will be here this morning to start a reno job on our landing, body corporate have been hard to shake up but finally getting something done - so I will be out of here before they arrive. (see you later Shaz) Best get myself organised so I can be gone before they start being noisy out my door. Whatever you be doing, I hope it is a wonderful day for all!! Cheers luv Laurie |

Hi Tony. Thanks for the link re gedcoms. Have had umpteen lessons (well a couple) on gedcoms and for some reason, when I get home from lesson cannot put it into practice. Will look on the link and see if anything sinks in. I work on the paf program which I think is the LDS program. Wonder why you are inundated with requests at the moment. Wouldn't have anything to do with being off the 'air' for a few days would it ??? LOL. Am still waiting on a death cert re David Hardman. Takes ages here in Qld to get certs. Ordered 2 in England last week (12th), got one yesterday, the other today - just over a week. Ordered 1 in Bris, 1 st Sept, still waiting. This is the one I really want !!!!!!!!!!! Patience, patience and more patience. Pam |
