Morning All Well we had a lovely drop of rain last night and it is now a beautiful sunny day. We are still waiting for broadband to be connected, have finally sorted out the problems, dodo had davids birth date down for my details as phone is in my name Grrrrrrr morons, anyway they said they would get it connected asap mmmmm we will wait and see. I could have really done with a bit of wattler cheering up last night but I had to leave phone line free, I got a message from the girls father saying he has just taken Tamika to the hospital and she suddenly became very ill and he would ring when he found out what was wrong. Well you could imagine how on edge was as they are due to fly home in the morning, well I waited a couple of hours then rang the hospital, they had taken blood tests and think it is migrane headache, she has never suffered from them before, but they didnt think that she would stay in hospital overnight so she should be ok to come home in morning. I have to ring their father at 9.00 this morning for an udate so fingers crossed please. Yvette, my footy wall says up year round, as it is footys over this year for my team :-(( Trifley loved the email 'birdies' haaa haaa Hope you are feeling ok (((( hugs)))) coming your way. I forgot to mention yesterday, if you didnt get the picks of my wall and would like them let me know and I will forward them. I just couldnt remember who's mail box was full and who was having troub with puta etc etc. Well must go as I have to have breakky before I ring to find out about tamika, and then a bit of shopping and back to old house for final trip Yipee!!!!!!! Just post this extra info for you Shazz :) Great Great grandma, Mary Chilvers was born C1817 at either Parramatta or Tasmania and probably illigitimate.(Mum was a convict called Mary Smith!!) Ended up in Parramatta orphanage in 1826. Was sent to Elderslie when 12 years old (so roughly 1829). The landowner then was a John Hawdon. Mary married John Hall in 1839 and went on to be a model wife with 11 kids!! She died in 1910. I have a great admiration for her. Such a difficult and rocky start but she more than survived and overcame all obstacles!! Imagine the changes you would see in that time span. My grandma (1883 - 1977) knew Mary. My cousin remembers grandma talking about her. Brings the past upclose and personal doesn't it? Almost the entire 200 years of Aust history in two peoples lives. ~~~~~~~~~ to Catz and Jood

Why is it that when I see you post JulieCatz, I immediately go and check the message number - am I suspicious or what? .. lol I beg to differ Vonny - might be late posting, but been up since 6.00am (tho Shazz has probably been up since 3 or 4). .. tee hee .. I've just been busy printing out 22 pages of family history on my daughter's grandmothers side (the adopted one) woo hoo - Lady from Perth sent it all over. I think I'm gonna have to meet this lady when I go there at Xmas time. What channel is the memorial on this morning - can skp tell me? Shazz - I am out every day (well, Thursday I have to babysit) - but I will be in Leura at lunch time Friday if you wanna drive over???? .. It's ok if you don't, as its a fair hike. Good night Wattlers Just popping in quickly to wish you all sweet dreams and to thank you all for your good wishes for our anniversary. We had a lovely relaxed day and a lovely lunch so all is right with the world. Thanks for the pickles Jood and Mary. Jude - love the cute new choppers and Mary - love the new furniture. The blue lounge looks really smart - you must be so pleased with it all. Glad to hear you are getting a visit from your boys Laurie - marvellous what a few footie tickets will do! Hope the Queen hasn't overdone it with the big day out - I'll pop over and see if she's at the weekender. Donna - I agree with all the others. Get the boys working. Good evening Wattlers! Guess what . . . Tonight I have decided that I LOVE RUGBY LEAGUE . . . . teeeheee You know those three tickets I mentioned before the The Lovely Ray has to the Grand Final on 1st Oct . . . well tonight he asked the two gorgeous sons if they would like to come down for the weekend and go with him - and they said YES . . . yipppeeee I get my sons down here for a weekend!!! Easy to please a mum isn't it . . . Also, tonight I got a phone call from my cousin Pat, she called from out the front of the home that our gtgtgrandfather built in Dover, Kent - I sent her off to the museum from there to have a look at all the things he donated to them when they first started their collection in about 1835. She has taken her long service leave and will be in Europe and Canada for the next month. Lucky lady. Was lovely that she would ring, we were really close as in the 70's, but had lost contact until I bumped into her here on GR a few months ago. Our Queen must have exhausted herself out today - no sign of her yet - unless she is playing in the weekender with the Rebs. Thinking of you Trifley! Donna, Pam is right, just close your eyes to how the lads do the chores, and get them to do as much as you can and a little more. Good training for them as well as taking a bit of the load off you. I believe in domesticated males, make good hubbys! Well I am going to spend some time typing up the results of my trip to the Archives so will catch up with you all later. cheers luv Laurie

SuzyQ, this is just really sad news, where does the b*******d live. I think there would be plenty on this thread who would like to confront this monster. Donna, just take care and do things slowly. Get the boys to help more and just close your eyes to how they do things. Can train them as you go along !!!! Oh Lew Lew, me thinks you really do need the help of a 'special' dr. Honey, I'm Home !!! Yeah Tony . . . it's Tuesday has that lad fixed up your puter yet - tell him to hurry up we miss yah!!! Came home and ran around madly getting dinner ready . . . teeeheee - I made the salad so Ray can cook the Barbie when he gets home! Poor thing . . . tells everyone he has to cook dinner every night, but he is just like the other men - wont let me near his barbie. I've got some sweet potatoe and mushrooms and onion chopped up for him to cook with the meat . . . Yummy!! Plain to see why you are so happy Mary, good for you! Lovely pickles thank you. Enjoyed my digging around at the Archives, think I will head into the State Library later in the week - see what I can unearth there ! Dear Wattlers, Nipping in a few lines while i'm making tea. Glad to see that the increased physical activity is kicking in. Isn't it amazing how the warmer weather makes you more keen? Are we all drinking lots of water and eating good healthy tucker to along with it? How are the noodle games going with you and Terry Lew? I have been getting up early too. Legs are falling off from jogging and walking more. So glad you are feeling a bit sparkier Trifley. Photos of new abode are lovely Mary, wish I could keep tidy. Hi Mary, once that blasted wind kicked in, the water temperature dropped dramatically! But I was brave (read stupid) and went for a swim anyway. Jood, just you slow down a bit and don't overdo it.
