Happy Birthday Claire, my son's b'day is tomorrow, he's a year older than you (1974).
Hope P helps you have a great day. Give him a hug from me.
Saw my newest great-nephew on the weekend age 6 months, I fully expected to feel huge grief when I saw him, because of the Down's diagnosis, but all I felt was positive, what a lovely little boy, blond as can be, cuddly and smiley, rolled over ahead of schedule but not sitting up yet, physio is working on upper body strength. His parents are amazing, so upbeat, they have decided that where other people grieve (when it happens) for traumas their children go through in life, they are doing their grieving up front, and have come to terms remarkably well. Their 2 year old daughter is a joy also, very advanced language, blond curls, a beautiful child too.
I'm having a busy day today, kids going several places before I go to work, and their Mum is working today too.. Started by having to use every towel in the house to clean up G's decision to throw the dogs' water bowl all over the kitchen and dining room. The dining room has been taken over as a sewing room for miniMary's bag project. her website is coming along slowly, should be up within the week. , she is thrilled. Yesterday a local lady gave her a box of fabrics to use for bags, and included was a small stuffed dog, with a note round his neck "for a special big sister". She couldn't understand why they would do that, and wanted to give it to Emlyn!! We've convinced her to keep it. Another lady who makes, of all things, belly-dancing costumes, is making up a box for her too, should be some really pretty fabric in there!! She already has everything from tweed to lace. Whose bright idea was this ?????
Catch you all later, have to take her for her math tutoring class .
hugs all round,
Mary

Carole, your mother has put a whole lifetime into filling your roads with rocks. It seems like there might be a tarmac lorry coming over the horizon.A bit of tarmac for you and some for your dad too.

Just leave your mum there with her rocks and her wheelbarrow. She will be alright.

Carole Report 15 Aug 2009 09:13

Gail you are right, you just want to get on the tar road quicker.
Had a better night last night, took the diazepam a bit earlier so I was ready to sleep. Just taking the one 5ml at night time. Unless I feel really tense during the day then I take one. Not the three a day like prescribed.
Colin, Steve said I had been with him to the shop. I remember now, we found the receipt and it jarred my memory. Two bottles of hair conditioner (bogof) that was my purchase! Steve did most of the shopping we just went for a few bits we needed.

I think when we are really down, our systems go into hyper drive and we are on constant alert, thus imagine we are hearing things that are not really there. It is a tendency to always expect the worst when we are this down.

And, this to shall pass, do not forget that some meds for depression can take up to a month to kick in. Even though you are taking other meds they only mask the depressinon until the anti depressants start to work.

So, Carole you are not alone in this reaction, my advice do not let it get to you. I know it must seem to you that it will never be over, trust me, it will, and you know it will. This is just one of many rocky roads we all travel down from time to time, eventually you will hit the tar road, it is not too far away now.

Sending love and hugs to all

Gail

Oh dear Carole, hope you had a good night's sleep.
I am perfectly normal, can't you tell? But I do occasionally hear voices such as my mother or my sister. My mother used to get a headache before bad news but I don't think she was psychic. I think it was just coincidence- if you get enough headaches some will come before bad news.

If the 13 pounds 33 at Sainsburys has slipped your memory, maybe it wasn't there at all and it was your husband. I don't think it was credit card fraud. Whoever it was has possibly forgotten that they used the card, especially if they don't usually use it. Where did the strawberries come from? Not that I imagine they cost 13.33.

Thinking of you Deanna, YCaz, Purply Liz, MaxiMary, Gran of Oz and lots of others. xx Colin

Carole Report 14 Aug 2009 22:49

Hi everyone. Still got my head in the clouds. I checked my bank account on line this morning, to see £13.33 spent at Sainsburys two days ago. I couldn't remember even going there. I asked oh when he got home if he had taken my card to pay there. No I had been with him!! After tea tonight H asked me why I washing strawberries under the hot water tap? Ok, I turned it off and changed to cold water. lol But not been too bad a day today. Made some phone calls I had been putting off and drove the car a short distance to post a card. Had a friend from work to visit, so been ok on the whole.

Earth thank you for your post. It's been a great help to be able to come on here and talk to friends who understand how we feel when down. Your family may grunt how they know how bad you feel, but they really don't! We have made some great freindships on here, and I don't know how I would have got through some of my lows without the lovely people who listen.

I was woken last night about half twelve, when I thought I heard my 26yr old daughter say Mum. I lay listening to see if I really did hear her, but no more did I hear her say Mum. But four mins after that I thought I heard the phone in the bedroom ring. I lay there with my nerves now on full allert wondering who the hell was ringing at that time, and what on earth could be wrong,........ Dad? No, no one had called me, and no one had phoned! I'm going mad hearing things now!!!

Hope you all have a lovely week end Carole xxx

Oh Sharron thank you for the best laugh I've had in a while. Been sitting here chuckling with tears rolling down my cheeks.
Liz hope you've recovered from your busy day, what's next???
Had a surprise last night, when miniMary went back to camp last Sunday, the weather was so bad her Mum just basically dropped her off and got back on the road. Little did she know that her cousin and his wife were there, he's a leader for the week, and his wife and the 2 kids are with him. Saw it on Facebook last night. Colleen could have seen our new baby cousin Owain at last, and now mini has had him all week. She will be thrilled. So we are all going up to collect her on Saturday, they live so far from us that we never get to see them otherwise..
Sarah slept with me last night, at least I slept, she apparently didn't. When I got up this morning, the ironing board is covered in some kind of pink stain, (why didn't I put it away) the floor is VERY sticky, the box of frozen popsicles is empty, choc syrup on the counter, seems she had a busy night and I managed to sleep through it. She has also wet the bed so she must have had a seizure during the night too. The laundry never ends.

For some reason the local works are digging up the road in front of my house, and the noise is deafening. Hope I can get out when I need to.
More excitement, Emlyn and her 2 little friends are thrilled because the police are here - to remove a car which is parked in the way of the road works - lots of activity - the 3 of them went over to the policeman to offer their suggestions - you could see him grinning. So that keeps them busy for the morning, supervising out front. LOL.
Now to try and redeem the sticky floor.
In my next life (I have to have one, too much to do in just one life) I am going to have a maid LOL
Hugs
Mary

Oh yes,he does go scrumping as well.We have Bramleys from a woman up the road who is only too glad to get rid of them.

Where do you live Mummo? He will be doing deliveries at a later date, just like he did with the marmalade.

They picked the first lot of blackberries without telling me first and he decided I would make a blackberry and apple pie with them.Had he told me first I could havehad some apples in.I prefer a straight blackberry pie anyway.
