Carole, I can assure you I have done absolutely nothing this morning. I am tempted to empty my six drawer file at the side of me into a large shoebox, it holds cd's of church BMD's and other things belonging to my family tree, all my small notebooks and census's, it can't be such a heavy job can it. No, I am going to bed now I have got his lordship back in his cage, my legs and hips just don't want to bother today so I might be safer laid down.

Love and hugs to all

Caz xx

Morning everyone.
I have a busy day today. It's Dads 80th birthday on Saturday, I decided to get him a DVD player (portable) he can watch it in bed if he feels under the weather, or out in the garden on a nice day. TV is all he has, being paralised badly down the right side of his body, and having no speech. His cognitive skills are very bad also. He struggles to move from his wheelchair to a bed or comode. Now his hearing is getting worse so with the help of his hearing aid I hope he will be able to hear the sound on the DVD player!!

No food in the house so have to do a big food shop. I hate doing it, cooking is not my bag!! Now let me loose in a craft shop I'm in my element.

PM sent to Caz hope she is taking it slower today.
Also Vicky.

Everyone I wish you a good day xxx

Hi all, sorry I am not very communicative these days, o.h. draining being here so much, roll on next week when he is on late shift and I can maybe do some chatting and get out a bit more too. I do read the threads and see how everyone is but have been feeling so tired, Thursday was the first day I got up before 2pm and that because I had to go for a dental checkup, which wasn't bad, a tiny repair to a filling and a clean up and bye for another six months.
Sending a hug to everyone and wishing you all well

Us none drinkers get labled as boaring old F****! But I'm better that way. Plus the hangover next day isn't much fun. So happy to stay boaring. I used to drink a lot, now I realise it was a way of being able to express myself and be more relaxed. Now there is no need to drink I have the pills! I know I've stopped them too. I'm doing ok my friend is keeping an eye on me ready to let me know if I need to take them again. She saw a programme on TV this morning about depression. She is now convinced she needs to see her doctor! I've been telling her for months to go back, so hope she will.

So how are all my ladies? Oh and gents!!

Hello everyone, I am going to have to nudge Dutches thread up as I put it on there as an update.
The doctor said she thinks the lump is a muscle that is thickening, but to be certain I have to go for a ct scan, also a bone scan. The bone scan is because I am in so much pain she wonders if the cancer has got into any more bones, and as usual, more bloods taken. She said when cancer is in the bones it is very painful, but with me having FM as well another very painful illness, it is complicated to tell which is causing the pain. Plus at the moment my arthritis is something chronic, I hardly dare use my hands at times and my knees look like footballs.

I haven't been on much at all, I know I have overdone it with trying to get as much as I can done, but one job and I am weak as a kitten, I despair sometimes of ever moving. Still it is coming along nicely. My hubby's brother and his partner came to see it last week and she said when she got out of the lift it was like a hotel, carpeted corridors and vases of flowers on the floor at all the corners and windowsills, I suppose it does really.

Hubby told Carole, the manager he was thinking of a week on Saturday for the big move, blimey I have all my books to pack yet. Still it is my own fault for wanting to keep them, all my glassware has been packed by my sister and already up there, along with photos and ornaments and all my baking tins.

Fingers are a bit poorly now so can't do any more, I'll keep you informed, and then when we are in we will have the big cyber housewarming, yipee. I don't drink though so I will keep order with a cup of tea along with tinkerbell.

Love and hugs to all.

Hi Carol - no didn't see any seals. They are usually at a place called silver Sands where there is more beach. The place we went has more rocks etc for the sea birds.

There is an S.S.P.C.A. near to us and it usually has lots of abandoned baby seals. I usually go there will baby hedgehogs and the seals don't half smell.

Vicky, chin up love... all will feel better again.
Gail....a run out
in the car sounds lovely.
I think I will have Tony take me out for a run when he comes home.
I will give him time for a rest before I start
making demands of him... do you think an hour is enough? ;-0)

I miss him so much. it seems dreadful that I feel I can't manage without him but it is only because I am so dependent on him for transport and all that brings. PLUS... he is my best friend too and i miss being able to chat to him.
he is quite well able to tell me that I am in the WRONG.... so we do not have a *yes man* type of relationship.
Not feeling at my best today, although I don't feel ill either. Just perhaps a bit like you do Vic...
Hope you are all well today.. even being without pain is a good day isn't it?
Although today my wrists and head are not behaving well...
see you all after my coffee when I may just feel better.... well the painkillers did not do much for me this morning.
love to all

GranOfOzRubySlippers Report 25 Mar 2009 05:13

Deanna so glad Tony is improving.

Lancashirewitch, no wonder you were feeling so poorly, sounds like you have a great doctor as well, hopefully you will pick up quickly now.

Tony's adventure reminded me of a friend of mine. She was sick of him coming home drunk so locked him out over night in the middle of summer. He was only wearing a pair of shorts and passed out in the yard, we he woke the next morning he was not only sunburnt on one side but bitten by mosquitoes all over. Took him a couple of weeks to recover. Did not stop him drinking though. After that she would unlock the garage and sleep there.

Carole you sound very busy, I hope H is feeling better, I know it will take time, have been thinking of her and hope she is okay.

My lovely MIL's birthday today, 81 years young. So we got her a card saying Happy 21 st Birthday, she thought that was wonderful. If I could have picked a mother it would have been MIL, no she is not rich with money, but rich in so many other ways. My OH is a wonderful caring person and the best in the world, so his mum would be a very close second. When I am around the both I feel so very lucky to have them. My ex MILs hated me, as their sons married beneath them. Their loss, my gain.

Mary sounds like your daughter is having breakthroughs of clarity, it must be amazing to witness for you when this happens. The ocd I can understand, I also know it can be frustrating for those around you.

Well off to feed the pets and get them fresh water. Sometimes they are a pain, at least looking after them makes me get out at least twice a day. I would not part with them. One of my old hens passed away this week, she was 8 years old. When I would go to feed the chickens she would sit on my feet or lay on the food so the others could not get it, so I would have to give her food of her very own and feed the others separately. She would wait at the gate for a pat when she would see me around outside. I have a couple of bantams that sit on my shoulder when I go into their pens. Such funny things. They do get out in the yard every day, but in relays as each pen has a different rooster, the roosters will fight if out together.

Bye for now

Gail
