Hi everyone. I am now using the colour change function and text size in Mozilla Firefox. All my other internet browsing now goes through Internet Explorer. The colours on here were making me sick.

I have been doing some work on my tree and have found a distant relation (through marriage) and her name is

to all who have sent me cards, my apologies if I have not thanked you yet, i think I may have to put up a thank you thread as I am accumulating so many cards and can't remember who I have said thanks to. Still trying to write mine, the 'foreign' ones are on their way, well the ones going further afield so with any luck and a strong wind behind them they might arrive in time for Christmas, if not apologies but be sure I am wishing you the best time, andthe other cards, still to be written over the next week, second class to be off by Thursday 18th and first class a couple of days later!

can you believe it our new computer had stopped working by the next night. We had been asleep and at work most of the time. So now we have one that has been built at a computer shop. Hope it's better. I come back to find it's all changed, and am not finding it so easy on the eyes as before. xxx

Hi mary jude gail ann and everyone else and thankyou all for your kind words,well i got through yesterday okish,and the good news is im seeing my boys tommorrow.I cant wait my eldest son was 14 yesterday so im taking them to pizza hut for lunch which will be so nice.Also im moving house tommorrow which is quite stressful but simons being a star and taking care of all the packing because i just cant deal with it at the moment.Hope eveyones ok and well ill write again soon.

Hello All,
Feel so rough today ,stinking cold etc,and this new GR I hate.Mabey its me just being a moaner,but i really dont like it.
I sent GR a message and told them what i thought,and that i would not have renewed my membership if i had known it would be like this.

I e mailed GR yesterday about the problems that people with visual problems were having. I have had a reply thanking me for my feedback and they say that all comments will be passed on to the development team as they are studying every bit of feed back they receive.

So maybe they will respond to our concerns.

Gail....it must be so frustrating for you re this site and you Caz, and everyone that is having probs. l know we had probs like this before and they changed things and it got sorted eventually, lets hope it does again. l am lucky its not a problem for me just getting used to the different bits and bobs andl don't have a tree on here!!

Bernie....how are you this morning?? Tell us abit about your boys, don't give details just about them and have you written a card out yet??

Hope everyone else is feeling abit better this morning. l'm about to phone my son to find out how he is, he spoketomy nephew yesterday, nephew said how much better he sounded, so thats really positive to hear:o))

Just been playing silly watsits with the dog ........ l had made the bed went back into bedroom 10 mins later to find ALL the covers on the floor!!! lol he dives under and just goes potty. I put it all back, then l hide under the quilt and he goes mad again, he gets so excited. l often hide in the bath or behind doors but he knows exactly where l am now, cheeky blighter....he's such fun:o)) got arthritus in one back and one front leg now so is one Metacam for pain, but as with most dogs he forgets it if he wants to run!! cats don't seem to do that they rest up!!

Ok off for shower now, hubby is about to go to work and l want to wave him off first:o))

edited....corrected my mistakes!!

Ann I am having trouble with the colours, they tend to blur and make my eyes sore. I tried the change in colour but it then does the changes on every site I visit so had to put it back.

I also have everything on the right of my screen, my tree is now so messed up on here it is not worth trying to fix.

I have made the print larger but is still blurry. I have multi focal glasses, I am short sited in one eye and far sighted in the other. I have an astigmatism in the right eye which is blurry anyway. The colour scheme has made it worse, I feel nauseous with trying to read with the colours. Can only view for a few minutes at a time. I can view ancestry all day with out problems.

I have now sent two messages to GR, they could not care less. So letting them know is a waste of time.

Maybe come on occasionally and see if you can adapt. What exactly is the problem? Is it the print or the colours? have you e mailed GR? if we don't let them know they can't put it right. Mine is not too bad for text size since I increased it a little with my mouse wheel.

sorry you are feeling sore, take a break and rest but please keep in touch.

Sending big gentle hugs for you Gail, please take it easy for next few days. As regards the tree I agree entirely, mine is such a mess and scrolling as you say just to see the children of parents hurts my hands. Before we could see all the family in one go, I might delete my tree from here and work from the one on computer.
When does your subs run out? Maybe you might get used to it, I am lucky enough to have a zoom facility on my mouse, which I had stupidly forgotten about yesterday. Must have been the shock of seeing something which worked perfectly turned into a mess that is hard work to use.

Very sore today.

I have decided because of changes to the boards and not being kind to my eyes and no longer disability Friendly I will not be renewing my subs.

It is just too difficult to use now. My tree on here is a total mess and difficult to now move around as so much scrolling.

Hi jude and ann and mary thankyou for all your kind words ive just had a good long cry which has helped a little bit.If it wasnt for simon i dont know how id cope dont really know how i am now atleast ive ot the gp in the morning.take care everyone

I am sorry you are not able to see your son but Jude's advice is good so please for the boys and Simon's sake listen to her. I hope that you find the strength to get through tomorrow. you need to prove to social services that you are coping so a card to your son would be good.

Hello Bernie.........please take pride in yourself that you have told us this, you are not a bad woman, you are not well and you will get the help you need but you must keep asking.
Send a card to Social services or who ever is dealing with your childrens case for your son, obviously no one knows if it will be given to him but atleast you have tried....and then concentrate on getting better day by day or week by week for them. Tell yourself you are NOT going to harm yourself it will not help the boys nor you nor Simon, keep telling yourself that!!!!

Hi gail jude mary and everyone else that i havent mentioned, well my days not been very good ,ive had terrible anxiety allday,and tommorrow is a very hard day as because i got so unwell i well i wasnt coping with my two boys so they got taken into care and tommorrow is my eldests son birthday and i cant even see him or phone him which is so very painull and hurtful i dont know how im going to get through tommorrow with out doing any harm to myself .i cant type anymore too upset take care everryone
