Hi Caz, of course you didn't scare me with your photo, I thought I might have with mine I sent you, I have mailed you back with a pic of my rabble.

I hope you get on ok knowing the outcome of having cancer in your bones, just take it easy.

Vods, my mum has just been diagnosed with rheumatoid and my mil has it quite bad, as well as ostoe and FM.
I hope you get some relief soon, both my mum and mil take steroids for pain as well as painkillers, plus other meds, like methotrexate and salazopyrine.

Morning Vicky and Gillie, Gillie I though I'd frightened you off by sending my photo, glad to hear you've had a few days off.
Vicky I am pm'ing you later but I was'nt surprised about you being in so much pain if you have Rheumatoid Arthritis, poor you, at least you can pain relief now for it.
I went to see my Neurologist yesterday only to be told they still don't know what is wrong with me, and I am not being sent for any more tests as I have everyone available. A wasted journey.
I haven't been on for a few days as I had a good chat with Chris and she told me exactly what it means by having the cancer in my bones, to say it scared me is an understatement. It's got me so I daren't walk much (not that I can) or put pressure on my bones in case they break. I wished I'd never asked.

Gail I don't care what your writing is like, I can't write now and have to print, even that is not much good but readable.

Hope everyone is keeping well and warm, as well as can be expected that is.
Love and hugs to all
Caz xx

Morning everyone, I hope you are all doing ok?
I've not been on here for a few days, hubby has been on holiday so we have been doing things together rather than me sitting in front of my PC lol.
I too am going to send some cards out, so if anyone wants to give me there address I'd gladly send a card.

I have a doctors appointment today, 1..about my knee and 2... I have constant ringing in my right ear, I was trying to convince hubby last night that I could hear this ringing, whistling in the house and was hunting everywhere for the noise, only to eventually find it was all in my head lolol.
It has kept me awake for most of the night so I am not impressed.
It's (hubby) Andy's 46th Birthday today, so I probably won't be on here much today but will try and look in.

Take care all of you.

Liz, you did not PM your address. Please, want to send some cards.

I stopped a couple sending them out a few years ago as had comments about my atrocious hand writing. But do not care any more and have worked out how to print envelopes.

Come on gang, I am trying to be nice. :>))))

Gail

PS will be taking video and camera to the wedding.

Hi Gail, wow, you must send us some photos - sounds as tho you will be looking really swish! Suit sounds nice and how lovely to have manicure and hairdo too, good for you. And you managed shopping and had a good time, see things are looking up for you.

Shame about the dental work and the cost, for o.h., hope it all works out well.

Have a great time at the wedding, and make sure there are lots of photos.
Let us know how it goes
Love

Vods just spotted you up there, nothing worse than not being able to sleep. When you are so tired the pain is worse, and is harder to manage.

I hope the day improves for you.

Extra hugs for you.

Yesterday we had to go for a dental appointment for my OH as he has broken his bridge and has two abscesses, dental quote for work $5,000 to $8,000. Cringe!!!!

My nephew is getting married at the end of the month, and I had nothing to wear (as usual, the extra kilos do not help either). I was so excited as was able to get a 3 piece suit to not only fit but looks nice too. Pants and blouse are black, the jacket is black also with red embroidery and beading on the front and edged with red. Jacket is very flowing and light and is below the knees. Also managed to get a red scarf to match.

I am so looking forward to the wedding, it is something nice to happen for a change. The wedding will be outside, so now I have to find a hat and a pair of shoes.

I also had my nails done yesterday, first time in 6 years, they are now a lovely shade of purple. They looked at me a bit strange getting purple at my age, but I love amethysts and have a amethyst in my wedding ring. I have very strong finger nails, and they asked if I wanted in-fills, I said no they are my nails but would loved to have them cut and shaped. It felt just wonderful doing this for me for a change.

I bit the bullet today and made an appointment to have my hair done the day before the wedding.

For those of you that do not know, my hair is very long, I cannot sit on it but it is down to my bottom. It is also a very mousy brown.

It was very good to get away for the day, managed to get some Christmas shopping done as well. I feel very tired today but had such a lovely time.

I hope you are all well, and agree with Ann that there are a few people here who could put their stories in books.

Sharron and Liz have a way with words and would do very well.

Love and hugs

Gail

Eileen, that isn't rambling on, it is sharing your anticipation of a lovely event!

O.h. woke me this morning with lots of noise doing work in bathroom, came in bedroom and said he couldn't find his specs! He has two pairs, one pair for close work and one pair for ordinary tv watching etc. Needs them for work too and he goes back in the morning (hurrah!!) Said he had looked in the car and phoned the stores we went in yesterday to no avail, so wanted me to take him to b and q etc later on to check for himself, he thought they might still be in their case on one of the shelves where he was looking at nails, and other things. I got the blame as in b n q I called him from where he was looking at bubblewrap (we have enough for greenhouse) when I found out from a member of staff where the garden fleece was - not near bubblewrap in gardening section but inside store - and the staff member was waiting to take us to the shelf. Said I must have distracted him and left them there!
I wasn't feeling up to driving really, not having had much sleep this week, but he insisted so I got ready to have a bath etc before we went out, first having called another store he had forgotten we visited, in case the specs were there! I thought I would just have a quick look in the car, went out with a torch and lo and behold, there was the specs case between the front passenger seat and the gear stick where he had probably dropped them as he got out of car, as I was driving and he has to get out before I pull onto drive. So much for looking in the car this morning!! Bet you can all guess what I called him lol

So glad he is back to work for a while now lol Bathroom still not finished, by the time he had finished fiddling round searching for the specs, he said he didn't feel like doing tile cutting etc! Doh!
Bet you all wish you were here Not!

Sharron, I agree with Liz and Ann.You shoud indeed write a book. You make me laugh, but I bet it is very difficult for you most of the time.

Mary, will you really have to pay for the ambulance? Bet you all got a fright at first.

Rach. welcome, you certainly won't be let down on this thread. Everone is very kind and supportive.

Frank, also welcome. My wonderful councellor stopped working for the council last december.Didn't want to have to start all over again with a new one. This thread has helped me a lot.I don't post often, but so read all the posts.

The 'suprise' for my birthday has been postponed until the 6th december. Then we will celebrate both my birthday, daughter Eleanor's 40th (!) which is on the 16th of this month, and St. Nikolaas's birthday. This is actually on the 5th dec.on a friday, so not convenient for those working .

Must make a list of jobs, don't somehow think they all can be done, but don't want any of my children, partners and children to work too hard.

Am off to Amsterdam on saturday, to watch grandson Zachaar singing in a concert given at the Russian School he attends on saturdays. Will celebrate my birthday with Fiona & hubbie & Zachaar, also other daughter and her family on sunday morning, come home after this to a meal cooked by grandson who lives just two doors down. Can anyone ask for anything nicer?

Sorry for rambling on.

Hope you are all feeling better for coming on here.
