Hi Roy,

thanks so much for the information, my Dad was in the west Kents. It looks from the information that he was sent as part of the Medical team with other units.

sorry I took a while to get back. My Daughter is doing thr the"race for life" and we were out training :-)

I was looking through my late Dads photos and found some when he was serving in Mersing Malaya in 1949. He was also in Hong Kong in 1945 and ? Pooma ( I think it says)

His battalion was the Buffs

He looks well and the photos and smiling with the other soldiers. He said he was a medical orderly.

Can any one shed any light on the location and why he may have been there?
