There are a number of medal cards for men with his name - this one served in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.All from Ancestry and probably on the National Archive site

Are you sure this is the regiment he was in? There are a few Peter McFarlane records on Findmypast but none for that regiment.

Over 70% of WW1 records were destroyed during WW2 bombing,

This record set come up on a search on Ancestry, but the Attestation page says that he has never previously served.

Where can I find list of enlistment to these units. looking for enlistment of Peter McFarlane he was born 1898 so would have been a boy soldier I guess.
