Sorry, Sandie, I could be helping but I was miles away, thinking of Becks in his No 7 shirt.......

I know I know this - it's some rhyme about magpies, I think, but I'm off to bed now (tiring, birthdays, aren't they) so I'll just have to chack back in the morning. Night all.

7 for a Secret????

Edit: That's check back, not chack....

So far correct

5 A in a S P

Edit what was I thinking about when I said 5 for the big bass drum ?
That's some rhyme I remember, but the magpie one was 5 for Silver.

Sandie. If I remember the rhyme:
1 for sorrow
2 for joy
3 for a girl
4 for a boy
5 for sorrow
6 for gold
7 for a secret never to be told.
(I may be wrong, of course! Suppose different regions have their own version....?)

*$parkling $andie*

*$parkling $andie* Report 17 Jan 2009 22:26

Yes Jan thanks, I remember that one , the same version as yourself,
but there is something in the back of my mind counting backwards that has 5 for the big brass band / drum ( might not be the No 5, but has something like ? for the big brass band ( more likely than drum )
anyway onward and upward

5 A in a S P
