Hi Sandie
Yes thank you Keith slept like a log last night and mine wasn't too bad
Hubby seems Ok now he has had a couple of good nights, Me well I am used to it as I am a bit of an Insomniac.
I haven't been back in here for a while. I actually cooked a Roast today and made the Traditional Yorkshire Puds with all the trimmings. We both really enjoyed it after having salads for a couple of weeks. Even have enough for Bubble and Sqeak for Hubby tomorrow he loves that with Bacon.
Thank you for the Pm by the way. Will reply later

Do you think we should we put another one up Sandie. WE can have Suzians Pending

50 years of marriage R (?) a Golden Wedding Anniversary ...?

WhackyJackieInOz

WhackyJackieInOz Report 18 Jan 2009 12:56

I know what you mean about Men being a pain in the bum lol.
I used to love my time on my own where I could just make a sandwich or a bowl of soup for myself and not have to worry about anyone else.
Since hubby retired I seem to be always in the kitchen making this and that.
Luckily just lately he has been doing things for himself which is most unusual as he doesn't cook.
Both my sons do most of the cooking. Such a different era from me growing up lol. The women always did the cooking. Both my D I L hate cooking and my sons love it. They are always ringing me for recipes lol

MInd you when I'm in the mood I do love cooking especailly baking

Just scrolled back , I missed your 11.51 post.
Just finished Sunday lunch, Pork, with crackling, cooked separately can't do a joint and get the rind crispy!! No one likes apple sauce. But I do 5 or 6 veg with it. Didn't do Yorkshires today , but mine will eat them with any roast meat. I only managed to get my son eating veg when he was small by serving Mint Sauce with every meal. lol His nan used to do it. Yuk , I hate it.
Hubby used to like bubble and squeak on a Sunday evening , as a youngster coming home from the pub , starving, so he tells me.
Glad that it must have been cool enough for you have had a roast meal :)
Right back to the R.
Must post this first before it hangs up on me again !

MY sister is practically a vegetarian so therefore doesnt have gravy on her meals. She smothers them in Mint Sauce she loves it. I agree Yuk I'm not overly fond of it. Hubby likes it though.
Love Roast Pork and Apple sauce though

Edit I also do my Crackling seperately so much nicer
I also do my stuffing seperately I hate soggy stuffing I like it nice and crispy
