I loved her books as a child
She wrote hundreds I never tired of them, I must get my Grandaughter some of hers she loves reading She would like the Famous 5 she is 10 so just the right age for them I think. Its her Birthday next Month

It doesn't stop you worrying though Daphne.

When they told us to evacuate we were off like a shot. All I managed to take was the Legal Papers, that was it. We didn't have any notice and I was still in my dressing Gown. So quickly changed and was gone. I didn't even get a shower. Had to stay dirty all day until they allowed us home. The shire provided us with a Hall for the day and provided us with Coffee and Food. They were really good and the Chief Fireman kept us up to date all day.

I just hope they tell them to go before it gets too dangerous

I read them all used to save my pocket money to buy them.

Hi Jackie and Daphne ,i am here ,trying to have another go on my tree ,
no snow to shovel here all gone and a lovely sunny but cold day
i probably will be cold later the plumber is here today to connect the pipework for our new bathroom hubby built ,so at the moment we have no water or heating on ! oh and i loved the Enid Blyton books ,Famous Five ,Secret Seven ,Magic Faraway Tree and Wishing well Chair Stories
they want tea now ! hope the kettles got some water in !!
