I was watching a 1 hour show on the fires.
I haven't seen Daphne at all today which is most unusual. She usually comes on during the daytime and says hello.
It is about 10.00pm where she is now and she is usually online with us at this time. Praying all is OK with her son.

I don't think Daphne would have Computer problems for long here Hubby fixes them thats his job. I don't remember her saying she was having problems. Just wondering if her electricity is out. She isnt in the fire area but they may be turning the power off to help out in other area's. Only a thought.

Making a belated appearance,both sons and families safe and well.Sadly 84 confirmed dead and over 700 homes gone.Grandson rang to tell me the sky was strange and he was scared ,he was in no danger but the strange conditions are frightening.Be back soon just letting you all know family all well.

Oh I am so relieved all is well. I have been thinking about you all day.
Thank you for letting us know that your son is safe and well.

Just come across the TV screen 84 dead and that Brian Naylor (Famous Melbourne News reader) and his wife have died in the fires. So sad I aways liked him when he did the Brian and the Juniors shows many Years ago.

I feel better now I know all is well with you. Just hope Mick in the Bush is safe too

Daphne, so glad your family are safe, what a terrible tragedy with such a huge loss of lives, and devastation of homes.
The 'news update ' has just been on our local radio news.
OMD we grizzle about a bit of snow !
....Beggars belief that some of it was arson !

Jackie,Shimms,Sandie, Barbara and everyone Thanks for your kind thoughts,son and his girlfriend were touched that strangers so far away were concerned for them and send their thanks. They came out unscathed but fires are still burning around them,fortunately the temperature has dropped to only 12 degrees which has helped to contain the fire.Elder son's family in the outer suburbs had fires come within 2 km but were never in danger although the children were very scared by TV coverage.There is so much coverage you can't prevent them turning on the TV.
There are plenty of donations coming in for those who need help,everyone is rallying to the cause.
Unbelievably radio just reported people seen throwing cigarette butts out of car windows.
Has anyone heard from Mick,quickly scanned the boards but didn't see anything.

I saw Brian Naylor and his wife have lost their lives in the fire too.
So sad and iresponsible people still don't take care do they.
No news from Mick in the Bush so far I have been looking from time to time most of the day

Anyway I have scrolled back and it's Sandie's turn to put one up. Do you want to do one in the meantime I'm sure she won't mind
