Money probably. They say it's not worth spending on a precaution for something that only happens occasionally. Like the big snows here.

I don't think it is cost,if you saw what it was like it would have cost very little to build.It is appearance, it spoils the look of the area.
There was a plan to burn off around one of the towns during winter for safety but it was vetoed by businessmen afraid they would lose money from tourists if the area didn't look petty.Well it sure isn't pretty now and people have died for their greed.

Sorry, I hadn't thought about the looks. People have some strange priorities.

You are so right,we have had water restrictions for over a year and a neighbor bought a water tank but wasn't allowed to install it because people complained to the council that it would be unsightly.These same people sneak out in the small hours to water gardens illegally.

Jackie went to theatre rehearsals,and I think Shimms is having computer trouble.

I don't know. I've never seen it so quiet.

I am working on another job on my computer as I often do I have a second screen up and can see any movement on my GR threads but there's very little movement anywhere tonight.

I haven't found any obvious answer to the current puzzle.

Yes just the first rehearsal but went OK we did the opening song and the three finale songs

Its a Variety show Daphne, Singing Dancing and Comedy

This production is called "Show Business is our Business"

So do you yourself sing, dance do a skit or what?

I sing, I used to dance but not so much these days. It's mainly movements now and I love the Comedy skits best.

They want me to do a song with the guys and also a solo this year .
I would rather do a Comedy solo if I had a choice.

Think I am doing "Shaa Boom" with the guys and I would like to do "Doing what comes Naturally" if I can get the backing. I can dress up as a Country Yokel then and not have to look Glamorous lol

I would go with another if I was you that doesnt do anyhting for me either
