I thought it was invented about 1910 by someone with a similar name to Bakelite.

Here for a little while. Have to make the OH some dinner soon I suppose.

I see the Death Toll for the fires is rising at a Rapid Pace.

I was a little concerned yesterday and rang my friend in Wodonga as I saw the fires were in Wangaratta and Beechworth which isn't too far from them.
She said the smoke was really bad but no appparent danger with the fire.
I hope Beechworth is spared. Such a historic Town and so beautiful. I would hate to see it get gutted with fire. We have very little History in Australia and need to preserve it.
