By, this stretches the old general knowledge! I've just been reading about the invention of nylon, and it was invented in the 1930s and first went into production for women's stockings in 1939. So I'm not sure about where the 1960s comes from?

Thanks for the warm welcome - warmer than the weather here!

No Shimms - just one room. I took them down to wash them last week and they came out the same shade of grey they went in (and they were originally white) - but now they'd frayed a bit as well. Time for the bin!!
